Default where is the APS unichip installed in the car?

This might be a stupid question but I have never seen one of their kits personally so I have to ask. I don't want anything like the Greddy E01 where it's installed somewhere by the navi or dashboard. I have my stock navi so nothing can go there for me. I'm not familiar with the Unichip so could somebody explain to me where that is installed? Is it something that's behind the dashboard and not in sight? Or do you have no choice but to put it somewhere in the cockpit?
