For those of you who put the gates belt on... how did you do it? I tired to but the thing is such a tight fit that it ripped the belt when i tried to force it on. Anyone know of any tricks?
I was thinking of trying to put the belt in cold or hot water to see if it'll make it expand. But.... yeah, any advice before doing that would be appreciated.

 

What length belt do you have? I have the 93" belt and getting it on the stock Vortech 3.33" pulley was nearly impossible. I ended up disassembling the belt tensioner and grinding out more room for the tensioner pulley to drop. If you don't plan on going to a smaller pulley, maybe get a 94" Gates belt.

If you have the stock pulley on . Go with a gates 93.5 belt . You may have to get the one made for Napa . Gates makes Napa's belt's . If you are running the 3.12 pulley the 93 should go on easy . Tentioner pulley must be loosened up thats all

 

I have the 93 inch one by Gates and the 3.12 pulley - AAM strapped it on no problem. 93 inch with the 3.33 stock pulley; I wouldnt go there. Not gonna fit and way too tight.
