BOV on a greddy tt ???
hey guys..ive been reading what you have been saying on this website and its good info . but i was wondering im getting in 2wks a greddy tt kit installed but noticed theres no BOV with the kit ..why is that and has anyone adding one on and liked it???
All the time, I told myself to just use it when needed but whenever I run into someone that needs a wooping I got tired of trying to change the setting to hi so I just leave it on hi
Sometimes it would probably do just fine to use lo boost but I just want to make it clear that they got their butts wooped.

Hey, if you're thinking about GReddy bovs, they have a new one called type RS. Here's a link and some verbage:
"Greddy introduces their new Type RS blow off valve. Features a large 40mm opening and a lower profile than the Greddy Type S blow off valve."

Thanks for the pic. How close can you mount the BOV to the MAF sensor. Example -2 inches from it. I would like to mount it as close as possible so I can adjust it without removing the bumper. I had to remove the bumber to adjust it on my Procharger before I sold it.

You might look into the Tial BOV. People are not that fimiliar with them because they have not been out as long as some of the others and people will always reccomend what they have but, Tial is hands down the best wastegate builder in the world ( that is even what Greddy used on there tt kits) and they have developed a BOV that is as great as there wastegate. I know of a few engine builders and dyno shops that only reccomend the Tial. Here is a copy of a link on e-bay so you can take a look.

The old venerable Type S is being discontinued for the new Type RS(I think that is what its called). Anyways, it bigger, and better in everyway...I guess thats all we need to know. It also works with the Type S flange, so there is no need to weld on a new flange.
Here is a pic of where the BOV should be mounted.
