Boost problem guys
Ok, recently I had the APS TT installed(about a week and change now) and the car was running good but I noticed yesterday that I'm not getting full boost. What could be the problem? Now, it's been cold as antartica everyday until two days ago. When it was really cold the car was idling at 750rpm in a rythmic fashion(not steady). Now the car is idling between 750 & 1000RPM and is rock steady. I hear the turbos spool but it's only getting up to .2 bar instead of 0.6. Temps are good, no leaks, no smoke, no weird noises. Could the ECU be adjusting for the temperature change? Today I have an appointment to get it tuned so I know they'll be looking at the ECU anyway. Might it be a blown turbo?(but there isn't any abnormal noise, vibration or smoking going on when they do boost) And I haven't beat on the car yet. Any advice, hypothesis, etc. gladly accepted.

Can't help you with your problem I don't think. Was it tuned first? And now you are going to get it tuned again? I'm going to speculate that it is the tuning and ECU.
A good book though is Maximum Boost by Corky Bell.

Sounds like you might have a boost leak, but I would be surprised if anything was wrong with the turbos. The book that you are asking about is called "Maximum Boost" and is written by Corky Bell. It is the like the bible for FI guys. You can pick it up at any large bookstore.
most likely a boost leak... i had the exact problem when my greddy kit was originally installed, those boost leaks can be difficult to find on your own, they should have an easier time making that determination when your car is strapped to the dyno.

Thanks guys. Yep, the lower intercooler pipe blew off. I couldn't see it this morning with my pen light. It looked like it was hooked up but it wasn't. I now have 400whp @ 0.6bar!! The car is running great again. I have reached my goal!!! A big thanks to Evolution for doing the Wilwood brake upgrade/APS TT install and to Mike and the Altered Atmosphere crew for the great tuning they did on my car!!! Now when I go to work tomorrow people won't ask me why I smell like gas!!!
