Default HKS Rotrex CARB info and Pulley recall info

We just got info from HKS about the rotrex supercharger kits and their pending carb legallity.

The kits will be CARB legal soon, from what I understand, there is a check valve that is needed for the kit to pass. Anyone who has one of these kits will be elligable for a check valve kit as soon as the kits become legal, and the check valve kit will come with the appropriate carb stickers.
As soon as the kits are legal, HKS will announce it, and the Kits will then come with a carb sticker.

now on to the pulley recall......
There is a recal on the main pulley of the supercharger, and HKS has a retrofit kit to solve any problems.
The letter states that in some cases the pulley may brake, however the new pulley kit will solve any issues. Not all HKS kits have the issue but all are subject to be elligable for this new kit. so if you have a HKS kit, get in touch with where you purchased it or with HKS about the issues.

Just a heads up for you all........

I spoke to HKS this morning concerning this recall. It's acctually the idler pulley not the main pulley. Apparently there haven't acctually been any failures of the idler pulley, it's just a safety precaution.

You're gonna love the Volks. Doesn't take that many lbs at the corners to make a Big difference in handling. I put mine on after 9 months on the OEM wheels/tires, and was amazed at the improvement.
