I have been an avid reader, but with this much money I need to ask. Tommorrow, Im going to purchase the HKS system, but since there is alot of people roaming I will let you guys decide to give me a yay or nay on the purchase.

I will be installing this system myself with the help of my father (kind of a bonding thing). So if anyone has installed it themselves, how many hours has it run about? What kind of problems did you encounter? Replace any items that you have found to be a problem later?

I have been a fan of HKS for a while, but alot of people have gave me the impression that they are overrated, but hopefully my experience will prove otherwise.

So guys give me a yay or nay( with a good opinion on why not), or even a headsup and hopefully if i get a good feedback i will be geting it, and also taking pictures through the whole process.Thanks a bunch

The HKS supercharger is the worst FI option for the Z.

-Expensive
-Bad fuel system
-Not much room for upgrade
-Small instercooler

I'm sure there's more, but you get the point. I would place Vortech and ATI's supercharger kits above the HKS. Even the Stillen stage 3 would be way better IMO.

 

i knew that there wasnt that much room for upgrading. but i did not know about the fuel system. What makes the fuel system so bad?

 

Yup, I see no reason to buy the HKS other than the name.

 

Auxiliary injector mounted in the intake. Instead of just giving you 6 larger injectors and a way to tune them, they decided to just stick an extra injector in the intake and let it spray away.
