I am actually dissapointed with my 60'. I have pulled 1.72's b4 but know I can do better. I am running 26x10.5 MT ET STREETS on a 15x8 weld.. same setup as last year, when i pulled my 12.10 @ 114 at 6lbs.. The car is not setup for drag racing at all. I have it lowered with Eibachs which are not meant for weight transfer at all... And I was running my 19's in the front. Other than that, I am running a CM stage 3 clutch still and the Nismo GT PRO LSD. I need more practice with my current setup and I am hoping to see 11.6's ...
Most people tell me I should see 1.6 60's with the tire setup but I am only launching at about 3k and rolling off the clutch.. Don't want to break my axle again.. !! Well not yet!

Yeah, your wheel and tire choice explains the incredible (for the 350z) 60ft times. most guys on street rubber are in the 2.0 area, and drag radials 18's are putting people in the 1.8-1.9 range.

I have actually had decent 60's with Z over the past two years.. I have pulled 1.79.83 multiple times NA with a 275/4017 BFG DR and with the ET streets, have pulled 1.72-1.79's but have had only used them a handfull of times... I have pulled 2.0's on street tires N/A but a waste of time imo... Now that the reacing season has started here, I will be most likely switching to the new MT ET Radials for the street tire class. I heard that they are sick...looking to consistently be running high 1.6's, low 1.7's.. I guess we will see soon... Also, the NIsmo LSD helps out ALOT. But I agree, it is a hard car to launch and get the right balance.. Jullian and I should both be out soon representing MRC with NJ's 2 fastest Z's..

Congrats on those times! Have you had any wheel hop and what did you have to do, or plan to do, to get rid of it?

I rarely have wheel hop but did on my last run of the night and had a 2.2 60'... You just have to get the right balance of clutch and gas... Its hard to do with the CM stage 3 and most aftermarket clutches but just takes practice... I roll off the clutch and on the gas at about 3k... I don't dump the clutch, thats how you get wheel hop.. Its a mixture of too much traction and not enough power... And not really good for the car.. When I do get wheel hop, I immediately lay off the gas,,,, and the run is shot anyway so no point beating on the car... I plan on stiffening the rear, lower tie brace, and stiffer rear mounts... Should help with the stress on the axles.....

Also depends on the condition of the track. Some tracks are much stickier than others.

You are right...the LSD helps immensely with your launch.

1.6's should be cake for you with real slicks. Nice runs!

I am pretty confident that I will give you a lower ET than my 11.8 to beat!!!
Also note that my motor is bone stock, just UR pulley, and exhaust! No cams, no flywheel, !! Bring it on. I would like to maintain the worlds fastest stock block APS Z!! has anyone else ran quicker than 11.8 with my setup??

Awesome times. I can't wait to get to the track. I know my 60 is going to be bad. I'm used to driving the 4wd cars (S4, Sti) so I'm hoping just for high MPH's

Thanks Charles. I might keep them you know. I've got a set I think laying around the shop somewhere.

ah but i have the biggest bad boys i think you can cram in that fender without rolling, 295 35 18's on some pretty light wheels!

once you put me on a track in front of the crowd i get really shitty at driving... for some reason it think i do better on the street... but I still was able to get 1.8 60's out of them... annoys me that I took 2 DSMs that had both ran high 11 second timeslips... but in that hot sun I never got my power out at the track... think my temperature correction in the FCON was a little to extreme %'s for my 1000cc injectors.... i talked to a guy with a supra who said he ran a 10 second timeslip on these tires! I bet you can go 11.5 or better and that might give you stock engine timeslip record as well.

besides... if you did decide to KEEP them i think one drive at high speed on the tollway and you will want to burn them... they feel like crap at high speed compared to good high performance wheels/tires

Congrats!

any Z on 11's is good news, I went to the track once and only did 3 runs, best run 12.6@114 (5.6 psi) I suppoust I can see 11's with a Drag Radials, but that 1.7 are hard to put on a Z, is just my opinion... I did 12.6 with a 2.2 60ft. if I can put 1.7 I will be seeing 11's for sure... will see
