Wow he does! Do you really need a reflash if you get a custom tune?

Gman204,

I'm running the same HP as you. What would you hope for 1/4 mi? My power comes on a lot quicker with the smaller pulley, I'm hoping that will help when I do get to the track. It will be my first run ever.

I would think a high 12 with a sub 2 second 60 ft. I had a very hard time getting under 2 sec. 60ft. Only have done it once . 12.98 at 108mph with 1.98 60ft.

I'd be with a 12.8/12.9 with my set up. Although, I've pretty much made up my mind....going tt very soon and will build motor within 9-12 months after the install.

Got this from another thread I was on. He is refering to the ecu flash.

One is you'll have a good base map to fine tune from, so you won't have to make large corrections with the emanage. Timing will be addressed. Also the throttle response will increase along with it remaining at 100% open till redline

what I dont seems to understand is how people that are going NA are getting into 12'z and people with superchargers on thier Z's are having issues getting into 12'z.... i mean julian, when he had his procharger was able to get into 12.1 and 12.2'z. doesnt seem to make sense why a blown Z should have issues getting into the 12z....

The amont of traction also comes in play. Sure a blown Z will have much more hp and tq than a N/A one, but they don't seem to get too much traction off the line and thus the higher #. Like someone have mentioned, get some DR or ET Streets and lots of practice and you will be good.

So mines should be a bit better. If all goes well I might take it out next wed. I would really like to see what I can pull before tunning and cats.

But remember out of the box with out a custom tune or additional mods you are probably around 330rwhp......DFW is at 404rwhp

I have top speed headers if you are in the market....

Most Vortech traps Ive seen have been around 110 mph. Id say it would come down to the driver. If the Z could get that slight jump or outdrive the C5 then Id say yes it will pull the Vette, would be too close to call you know....

My 1/4 mile times were atrocious the one time I went last fall. Very slick track.. Rockingham, NC. Best time I had was in the mid 13s... like just under 13.7. But my speeds were as expected though. Best trap was just over 111mph. I simply could not get traction. Hoping to try on a better (less slick) track this spring.
