You said you plan on building your motor within 6-12 months... Well tll then you could have the APS kit which i feel safer with, and probably by the time you get your $$ for the engine build up, someone will have some knowledge of how to tune your unichip. Yes the APS is plug and play so you dont have to tune it when u install.
The G kit should be out anytime now.. i actually already thought it was out.. hrm lol.

And if with in that time there's still no one to tune the car then what? Although if I would have had someone local to tune and the kit was out already ( I don't have a Z) I would have probably gone with the APS. With that said, I am not disappointed with the Greddy TT. I have bought all the extras needed to make it a complete kit. Everthing below came out to $7150.00 out the door.

*Greddy TT with FMIC
*Tial BOV
*Greddy Profec Type S boost controller
*Greddy Turbo Timers
*Greddy EVO II
*AAM Spec Fuel Return Solution
*Walboro 255

How is this for cheap?

Polished Vortech/FMIC
RC 440 injectors (he will get the brand new that come with the greddy kit)
Greddy emanage ( I ditched the split second and the FMU that come with the vortech)
All for $4200.

The least expensive price for the polished s/c is $4800 brand new. The greddy emanage with harness is $380 and the injectors will run you about $500. This set up would cost $6680. Let your friend know this has been on the car for a month and has about 1500 miles on it. I will dropping the car off at the shop later today.

The Greddy kit has external wastegates and turbos that run more efficiently in the 14 to 18 psi range. Now that we know the downfalls of the Greddy kit, it is a good kit, provided you buy the missing pieces. Return fuel system, and shielded crank wire.

I plan on building my motor with forged internals with in 6-12 months so I can boost higher. The higher you boost without stronger internals the more likely you will blow the motor. Once it is tune you don't have to tune again unless you add more modifications or turn up the boost.

gman2004...ohh ok i misread what he was saying. I didnt think you had to re-tune unless you added or subtracted mods. Thanks for clearing that up. Good luck with the twins

I am planning on building the motor within 6-12 months. I would do it now but the wife would divorce me. She is having a cow about how much money I've spent on the car. For now I plan on running 9lbs. I should have my car back by next friday......I am so fuggin happy!

Here's what I got:

Greddy TT with FMIC
Tial BOV
Greddy Type S boost controller
Greddy Turbo Timers
Greddy EVO II
AAM Spec Fuel Return Solution (bought from Sharif)
Crawford Cast Plenum
Sending ECU for L-spec flash
sounds good, can't think of anything else. Might want to get a shielded crankshaft and camshaft angle sensor wire though...

Oh and, make sure you trust your tuner to tune your 350Z...

Thanks for the info everybody. Here's an updated list. I changed the BOV. I was told that the greddy turbos are to small for this BOV. Tial works better on Supra's, STI's, and EVO's. The car is in the shop right now. I Should have it back by Friday.

Here's one more concern I have. I sent the ECU to TS today and they should have it tomorrow. I don't know if I should do the Greddy TT flash and fine tune with the emanage or just get the L-spec. Any suggestions. BTW I am going to boost 8.5lbs.

*Greddy TT with FMIC
*Greddy Type RS BOV (Tial is a excellent BOV but not for the Greddy TT's)
*Greddy Profec Type S boost controller
*Greddy Turbo Timers
*Greddy EVO II
*AAM Spec Fuel Return Solution
*Walboro 255
*Shielded crank angle sensor (ordering in Jan...should be getting soon)

I'd definately get the TS L-Spec reflash and just tune with the GReddy E-Manage.

I just installed a vortech supercharger at 18K.....my car is currently in the shop swaping the vortech for the greddy so I only have 2K with FI. I can tell I seriously beat the **** out of the car for those 2K miles. I should have my car back this wednesday.

I love the vortech but I want more power. You can't just dial up the boost with a s/c and I was pretty much maxed out. I could have gotten maybe another 20hp out of it, but I want to hit the 550-600rhwp neighborhood.

I love how a person can manipulate a turbo charger more than a super charger. As long as you do not over do it with a turbo charger does it take a large toll on the engine life? I am hoping to purchase a twin turbo charger for my eventual Z.
