Need Recommendations
I would like to add a Turbo or Supercharger for my daily car.
I am more concerned about reliability, durability, and not ruining my engine than max performance.
I was quoted 7K for TT's and 2K for its installation by a local shop that specializes in this type of work on Z's.
Thats more than I want to spend, I was thinking no more than 3-4K for the SC or Turbo.
20% of the parts cost for labor, i.e. 2k seems steep.
Any advice?

You might be able to get your total cost down to $5.5K - $6K if you can find a shop that will let you buy the SC and then they install (i.e. SC $4.5K + Install $1K - $1.5K). If you really want to save, do the install yourself. Your cost after installation would be tuning.
For that price range you are looking for you are gonna have to buy a used s/c or tt. I have a vortech with less than 1500 miles on it. Do you have a Z or G? I have a G. Email me if you are interested. jguzman@carnival.com
