Do you have to remove the transmission to install that J pipe?

Also, what is the projected install time for this system?

So car will be more quiet with Turbo and those resonators cut off????? I think im gonna call Injen 2 morrow
The engine will be much quieter with the single turbo system installed, I believe you will be able to remove those 2 resonators and still have a very nice exhaust note.

redline, are you going to get rid of the 3.917 ring and pinion with the turbo? As if 1st isn't short already for you :P

Perhaps throw in the APS Tall Boy Plenum...?

No I plan on seeing what happens.... then putting my Rally clutch back in because the Tilton STREET CLUTCH-PACK is not officially rated for anything over 300WHP(but if it holds it cool)...after that the car will be really hard to drive...... Im not sure what I will do...... because of the GEAR's ideally I only want 5PSI.... but I need to find a UNI-CHIP tuner.....Or trust Turbonetics over the counter tune for 5PSI and go with there kit..... should be an interesting year......

Amen to that! Choices, choices.

I need some rims and tires before I do anything...

Peter,

Could you reiterate if the APS ST will have a catalytic converter option and where in the system the cat would go?

Thanks

Since my last post, I've done a lot of figuring and what I figured out is that this kit is the way to go for me... period. I do have a few problems that I'm going to encounter with my current setup, so I still have a few questions I need answered... (one was answered already as I also have an Injen SES exhaust that I'm NOT willing to part with )

1) I, along with many others, currently are running aftermarket headers... Do you think they will/can withstand the stress of the turbo? Would you recommend going back to stock? My headers worked awesome on my N/A setup (and I know they would work well in a turbo application as well) but I'm concerned about the history of tubular manifolds and turbos...

2) I also have the Kinetix plenum which I have to decide whether or not I'm going to keep it and risk the chance of cracking it or do I swap it out for one of your TB plenums (I know what your answer is, Peter ) Has anybody here known of any V4 plenums that HAVE worked with an F/I setup? It is yet another thing that I don't want to part with unless I have to (12 whp on the dyno!)

Called Injen this morning and after talking with them I feel confident that removing the resonators to allow for a custom Y pipe will be a better idea than buying a new exhaust... the S/T will quiet the system enough to not make that much of a diffrence.....

GAME ON...

That's good to know... should be something that SGP can do pretty easily for me...

No, it's an easy bolt on install.

This depends on the skill and experience of the person, I'd guess around 12 hours for a tech and a little longer for a less experienced spanner man.

Thanks

Speaking of the Injen dual exhaust , is Injen's piping size going to be big enough to suit the turbo setup?

With the resonators removed the two 2.5 inch pipes will flow better than the stock pipe or a 3 inch for that matter( you have more room for airflow).....It just may sound a little raspier....and the S/T will cut about 28% of airflow......

On another note I got price quotes from 150.00 to 225.00 for this cutom Y pipe.... Depending on the materials you want to use....
