Default Question about turbo housing ???

Im going to be sending my parts out for heat coating. Im not very familiar with turbos, so my question is do i send the units out as a whole or do i have to remove the exhaust side and just send those out ? Also what is involved in removing the exhaust ( are a bunch of little parts gonna fall out when i take them apart ) ? They are greddy turbo's.

Haha... im in that exact same process too.. so ill let you know.
You only need to coat the exhaust section of the turbo (the iron side), thats the side that gets hot. to do this you simply have to take off the clamp holding the turbo together.. its that metal one right in the center you can unscrew. Only the snail shell looking section will come off... the center iron piece will not (this is the part that holds all the important stuff). Either take a picture or make a mark on how the snails are setup/aligned against each other because you can put them on the wrong way when you get them back.
I thought i was going to break the turbo when i first tred to take it off... you have to pull and wiggle a bit... mine was already rusty so that my have caused it.... good luck... i got a bolt that snapped off mine... ... so i went out and got it retapped... it was finished last night ... so now i can send them out... yay
