hold up, so you don't get the increased rev-limiter or the 100% throttle opening programs? what would be the reason against these?

I understand the REV limit cause its safer but why limit the TB to 80%????

F/I requires more airflow.....

I think the confusion started when I called technosquare and told them I needed my ecu reflashed for the kit. Doing business in the past with them they thought I wanted a custom tune as in the past.
Important facts:1: If you have an 04 roadster 6spd your ecu will depict 21, new tuning software just in for this ecu, turn around time maybe longer.
2:Turbonetics reflash does not include raising the rpm limit to 7,100 or changing throddle from 80% to 100%.

These are important tuning changes in my opinion if installing the turbo....JMHO
The new tuning for the roadster is already up and running in our flash department. we do not raise the rev to 7,100 and yes we do change the throttle to 100%

Turbonetic:
You should already received our ecu and it is indeed for a 04' roadster. I wrote that on the sticky pad on the ecu. Please make sure it receives the correct tune. Thanks.

...I guess Technosquare misunderstood my question. I was told this past Thursday that their base tune which is rev limit increase to 7,100, speed limit disable, 100% throddle were not part of the tune.
Too bad the rev limit isn't increased though, I can see under boost bouncing off the limiter pretty easy.

Turbonetics, My congrats on a quality well thought out turbo kit, my staff is installing it as I write this. I will let everyone know how the install goes. Look forward to putting the car on our dyno tomorrow and see what #'s we put down at safe boost and A/F. As well, we have a 350Z/G35 show on Sunday and an editor from 350Z magazine will be there to photo and get our impression.

If you're going to bouce off at 6800 RPMS, good chance you will bounce off at 7100. The only difference is the VQ wasn't intended to run at 7100rpms.

It wasn't intended to have a turbo kit either.

......Your not thinking, Another 600 rpm in the power band makes power and less chance to hit the rev limiter under boost.

OEM rev limit is set at 6,400 not 6,800...see you want more already.......

Ditto and if you have a 350Z then you can set your shift light to come on for 6600 rpms... I have yet to hit the rev limiter in my car with this kit but I have come close. Sorry for not having pics up sooner. Pics and digital video are getting taken today after my suspension stuff is on the car. All I can say is OH MY GOD.... I have let two other people who are impartial drive my car so far and you can ask at least one person who is on this board what he feels. The other guy was a Altima driver. I am going to ask the G driver who drove my car this weekend to post up today about what he thinks. Trust me when I tell you this guy has ZERO loyalty to Turbonetics and will give a fair assesment of the kit. From my point of you the car is unbelievably fast. Even running Volk LE37Ts 10.5 wide in the back with a Nismo slip this thing feels like its going to break the tires loose every time...

With the Turbonetics kit can you use your own headers like say the Alphawerks? Or does it come with its own exhaust manifolds?

I think you use your own header/mainfolds. The guys with it could help better. I really like the kit from the looks. I just have to wait a little to boost

It uses the stock headers...so as long as they aren't long tubes and don't stick out too much to hit the turbo piping. Victor @ Alphawerks is going to test some soon.

well, I have a 5AT G35 coupe and I think the increased rev limiter is needed as mentioned with ALL F/I kits on AT's because of the increased chance of overshooting the rev limiter when in Auto mode... and since you're tinkering with the ECU already, if I asked you to raise the rev limiter, could you?
