Just wondering if it's possible to install a BOV without having a Turbo setup.

By the way it's not for the Z, it's for my cousin's Civic.

you can't blow off vacuum pressure...there would be nothing to blow off...i guess you could put a cold air intake and weild a BOV on it (if the effect you are trying to get is looks for this little prank)

so....no

 

What if I find a way to redirect some of the exhaust air to the BOV, I'm not familiar with the mechanism of the BOV but I do know it needs pressure. I'm looking for sound not looks.

Run a bottle of c02 in the trunk and run a line to a BOV welded to his intake.
Set-up a switch to release the pressure out the BOV on demand...just like a nitrous purge kit...or maybe just do that instead. Full ghetto yo!!!

If you're looking for the sound I have heard about some speaker things that make a sound at certain rpm's. Very 2Fast2Furious, but to each their own.

doesn't this stupid thing gives out a whistling sound... BOV gives out the pishhhhhhhhhhhhhh sound when it releases pressure. correct me if I'm wrong.. why the hell are the calling it a BOV sound when all it does is whistle?

 

Buy some canned air from Comp USA and squeeze it off every time you shift.
