Finally... crank wires!!
I got mine also, #s on the ecu harness seam to be correct, but pin#120 stock color, wasn't red/white mine was pink? Car runs so my pink must be ok!
Any way man, what a nice build on the wires Charles well worth the $$.

supply of cable came in today. ready to take orders again. currently i am WAY WAY busy in the shop so the best way to order one is to contact me via email... you can try calling but since there are only 2 of us here regularly ... when im busy in the shop I often cannot make it to the phone. I take paypal or CC. my email is fstasfq@hotmail.com or charles@cj-motorsports.com
thanks
thanks
I just got my CAS wire today,a few suggestions to your instructions Charles. Hopefully i dont come off as mean, but i'm an electrical engineer too. There are certain procedures and operations that i went through, but somethings dont sit well with me, especially your line " During Manufacturing of the cables, attention was not given to use consistency in the wire colors as they were being inserted into the new plug"
that's kinda, um, not the best strategy, engineering or business.. you should be consitent for every wire you make, not just plug whatever color to whatever end and say, make note. that just leads to more problems down the line.
also you quote several times MIL-spec / MIL-STD. which one? i know its probably not a big deal, but i'd like to know. And just cuz its MIL-STD, doesnt mean its not susceptible to electromagnetic interference.
#3, i know i'm being a little harsh, but a diagram of the exact pin code on the ECU harness would be nice for those not familar with the ECU brackets. you can even cut/paste some of the instructions off the technosquare site on how to get access to the ECU..
but overall, good job on getting these out- which hole in the firewall did you go through? (also another suggestion that could be in the instructions)

wow. im glad to get some feedback from an EE... thanks for critisizm that will in no way improve the product. If you can think of anything I should change or update, be sure and let me know.
To answer your question, the only place I have ever run wiring thru the firewall of a 350z is thru the factory engine harness gromit (sp?) on the passenger side.
As for the mil-spec... i only mentioned it cause it sounds cool... i dont know one specification from the other so fill us in if you figure anything out, the part # for the cable is printed on it every foot or so.
There are only 3 wires, so in the first production run that we needed to get done ASAP to fill orders that were months old quickly, we skipped the part of assembly that has no effect whatsoever... at least we tested each one for continuity! For now on there is consistency in the wires inserted into the plug... not that it matters.

002-M-P if for some odd reason yours doesnt make it to you before you move, i will send you another one free of charge to your new address.
GMADD: I dont mention wire colors at the ECU side in the paperwork... just pay attention to the pin number.

Charles,
Very nice wire and I appreciate you building them for us, however you need to update the instructions. My installer had trouble installing the wire and called you yesterday. I believe you told them that the instructions were written for a G35. You should update your instructions for any differences for a 350z.
The only reason I am pointing this out is that they charged me for 3 hours of labor ($200) on a part they did not get installed because they ran out of time at the end of the day and had already put the car back to stock before they were able to get a hold of you. I appreciate you setting them straight and I am returning on Monday to get the wire installed (another $75). Please do me and anyone else who is going to install this a favor by updating the instructions with any information that helped Balanced Performance on 5/6/05. I would hate for anybody else to have to pay $275 to get this installed.
Can you tell me what their problem was as well? They said they had trouble with the wire color however if the pin locations are correct what would that mater? Are the pins locations different or confusing? This might enable me to request that they not charge me the last $75 dollars.
Thank you,
Jeremy

Jeremy,
Actually the guy was just confused... the instructions are the same. When he called me he just said the wire colors I mentioned were incorrect and then I told him he was looking at it wrong and then that was it. no one else has had a problem tho several people have tried to correct me on the wiring color because they thought I was talking about the ECU side... but I was talking about the connector side... the ECU side I go by pin #.
I dont think I told him anything useful other then confirmed that the signal wire is PINK at the ECU.
The paperwork on it is an entire page I am not sure how I could possibly go into more detail on how to wire it... its only 3 wires.
I apologize for the trouble and extra expense. Let me know your paypal address.
