just wondering if this map looks correct, the map was done by z1motorsports. i haven't read up too much on pulling timing but figured a lot of you guys here would be able to tell if the map looks good to you. dynoed with 380 wheel hp. running stock vortech pulley. here are the maps for a and b from the r4 software. keep in mind that the car is pig rich right now, didn't have time to fully re-tune it after i changed exhaust. dips down to high 9's on my zeitronix wideband at wot sometimes. anyway, here is the fuel map and the timing map.
Your fuel map [A] is kinda strange . Most maps Ive seen the numbers go down as rpm and boost goes up . I was in the low 7's.... at 9 and 10psi at 6500rpm [ pulling fuel out ]. Your [B] map, timing looks real close to a out of the box timing map , But move down in the rpm range . What year of car is it ? Maybe later year Z's and G's react differently with the SS box in the fuel map
I looked at an old map I had . The timing is closer to a stock Vortech timing map than I thought . 6 degree's at 6500rpm and 10 at 7000rpm . So it starts to pull 10 degree's as soon as it passes 6500rpm
I (and others) have posted several articles on how to tune the SS box. Your tune could certainly use some improvement--but if everything is running to your satisfaction then there's nothing to worry about unless you like tweaking.
Enjoy your car!

it's running very rich, but i want it to be around 11.5 or so at lower rpm. right now it's running around 9.9 - 10.3 at low rpm. and the timing map .... i would like to pull more timing if needed to keep it save.

There has been some controversy as well if timing should be pulled by RPM or LOAD. Currently yours is being pulled by RPM, which I believe to be inferior. Vortech obviously disagrees, who am I...
Ray,
If you don't have your original tune I can send it too you. The current one you are using was in response to the leaning out you were getting the last time you had your car here. I know there was some suspicion that the cold air was causing the A/F to lean out and now that it is warm again in Florida that may be affecting your A/F as well as your new exhaust.
Pulling timing is as simple as putting larger numbers in the affected fields, so if you want to pull more timing you can change those fields moving down and to the left. However, the timing should not be causing your rich condition. If you do decide to make any changes I would strongly suggest doing it on a dyno.
Here you can see your original tune in Blue, your first run when you returned in January in Red and your re-tune in January in Green.
Let me know if you want your original file

thanks lorca, i don't really need the original file, i think i even still have it, but i am almost certain that it was the exhaust going from Ypipe invidia to the borla td exhaust that leaned it out.
