LMAO...Yeah I thought about it...but it might attract the worng kind of attention...you know the ones with the flashing blue and red lights.
Yeah. I plan on cutting out my stock grill once I get my kit installed. I have a Stillen street scene grill that I'm going to use for normal daily driving to keep the rocks away from the fmic, and keep the po po happy. It's stylish and fairly easy to remove, so if I want to show off the intercooler I can pop it out in a few minutes.

I thought about doing that but I kinda like the stealthy look of the IC behind the stock grill. After all I've seen plenty of people rock stickers for parts they dont have so even if they catch the sticker they may think I'm just ricing...
Isn't the intake pipe running right over the turbo? wouldnt that be a bad thing because of all the heat put off by the turbo?
man...people will complain about everything. if this was done in a dune buggy, where there was an unlimited amount of space, then maybe that could have been addressed. during normal operation, the air is in the tube for about 2 hundredths of a second, so i don't think that it will be heating up the charge too much.
We just wrapped up the videos. Did a total of 5 back to back runs on a relatively not busy road. Was seeing full boost at 3200. You'll see as well. One run was done from 5th gear at 2500 RPMs. Hit the gas and within a second was at 5 PSI. At 3200 RPMs hit 8 PSI (full boost). Jim is copying and formatting the video to his computer now. I expect a call any second to let me know they are done.... stand bye they are on the way...
