Default Vortech question air/fuel boost ect.

I installed my Vortech a couple months ago. Car was running sooo rich it was fouling plugs. I added the injen exhaust and high flow crawford headers and now its running great! I also installed the Zeitronix so I could see what was going on. I havent had the car tunned yet cause Im going to go with the Kinetix Intake Manifold and headers. My airfuel at WOT is 10.4, what will raising it up to 11.5 do for my HP? Also Ive heard some of you say you lost boost when you installed high flows and exhaust. Im showing 8.2 for boost. Is this good? Thanks for the help!

you will see a good hp gain , if you raise that A/F . The cats....depending on which ones...shouldnt effect it that much . The RT cats more than likely will lower boost some . They did on my car . when I put on Crawford cats I got the boost back

I'm not sure if I remember correctly but I think I read a thread about losing boost when freeing up the air flow. Booger wasn’t it you that lost the boost, but on the dyno you still showed the same WRHP number? If that was the case then I believe that if you are running less boost but with the same wrhp output then you would be running more efficient/safer for the engine. Correct me if I'm wrong please.

I'll try to find the thread.
