Besides the samco hoses, I was looking for ways to get the remaining heater hoses a specific color. Im doing as much red as I can. Right now i have vynal spray on there in red... it wont crack unless i bend the pipes a lot, but i think it will eventually look ugly... Looks great now though... One thing is... i dont know if its safe to cover these hoses with anything like that... its not paint its vynal.. or however you spell the damn word...

Liquid colored rubber... I was thinking about spraying in red, then giving a clear gloss rubber coat to match my silicone turbo hoses.

Is this safe or am i risking melting/fire in my engine?
You can do a search for plasti-dip... i didnt find any information on this matter... someone please chime in so i dont catch myself on fire

 

I can't really help you with the topic, but I think you may be in the wrong section for an answer. This is the FI section, you would probably get a faster answer somewhere else.

I wouldn't do that dip/spray stuff. There are companies that make vacuum and other hoses in differrent colors... You can search around and maybe even call SAMCO and have them make you a custom set. Or you could do all the hoses etc in SS polished piping. I know protocav has been working on that lately and has replaced several of his hoses with SS piping. It looks hella sick. I'm sure he might consider doing a set for you. It would look pimp as **** to have all SS piping to replace ALL the hoses and lines in your car. You can even use red silicon couplers at the ends for a nice accent. PM him....

I tried calling samco, looks like its a british company... they wouldnt deal with me directly... so i called one of thier reps here.... its been a couple weeks, still havent heard back from them after the orignial repsonse of it could be possible.

Ill check out the stainless steel like you were talking about... that sure would look nice. I was thinking about the braided stainless steel wrappings, i just wasnt sure how it would look.. but polished metal would be nice...

Has he done the whole set or just some? I was just wondering how you would connect them too without leaking... guess thats what the coupers are for.
