if i port and polish turbo--this may reduce some of the increased lag that i would experience with the larger wheel

i do not plan to make much more power than i do now--so the only reason for doing this wheel chnage would be to reduce stress on the turbo and increase its life

any comments..please!?

Thats a nice setup I have the same one changed the wheel to a 20g, but your going to need to change your wastegate spring it wont hold.

A turbo timer is probably a good idea as well to help with coking of the oil inthe turbos.

please explain your setup in greater detail...how much lag to you experience (at what rpm to you start seeing boost/ see full boost?) how many pounds are you running???

I have the wheel swap for the turbo to a 20g you start seeing boost at about 3krpm you dont see full boost till 4500. Not bad cause on the 18g I would see full boost at about the same. I dont have a greddy E manage I am using DTA enginemanagment it has full turbo anti lag facilities. This week I ll send you my dyno numbers I will be tuned by this week 24-25psi for sure. The only reason I said to change your wasgatespring is because you wont be able to go over 22psi cause your spring can only double its lowest number .8 with boost controller can only go up to 1.6bar with boost controller with a 20g you would like to run 25psi so go with a 1 bar spring especially if you are running with 8.5:1 compression low compression loves high boost. I will pm you my numbers in a week or so.

thx for the info, i'm actually running 9.0:1 CR, and i am content with the power i'm making now, i think i'm gonna keep my car on a 14psi tune and have a high boost setting of 17/18psi...i really don't need all that power(not using it anyway).... and i want things to last as long as possible
