Question: so in order to get the TT CARB oe'd we will need to get a different plenum other than the current APS one? Am I reading this right? Because if so I won't bother buying the current APS plenum and wait for the carb'ed one.

More generic question is: Once (and I truly hope this will happen sooner than later) the TT gets CARB oe'd will current owners have to buy additional/replacement parts or will they be provided by APS or will it all work with what we get?

thanks

In short the answer is no, the APS tall boy plenum does not have provision for the aux injectors. Only the APS plenums sold as part of the APS big fuel system will have the 6 cast injector bosses and the additional machining for the aux fuel injectors. This big fuel system plenum is a different plenum casting to the stock APS tall boy plenum in order to save the unnecessary machining cost associated with mounting the 6 aux fuel injectors.

I will have full tech details on the APS big fuel system in the very near future - I will post these details as soon as I have final information from enginering.

I can say that the APS big fuel system is a very comprehensive and designed to be a serious fuel system for high HP VQ engines, APS tall boy plenum with 6 aux injectors, twin high volume fuel pumps, fuel swirl pot, 4 billet aluminium fuel rails with fuel return, etc, etc.

Thanks

Peter
Cool, that more info than I had before , all good to know.
So you'll have more details on the injected tall boy in about 6 weeks.
So when do you think you'll be shipping your first kits?

I can't say one way or the other until the CARB test is run and APS engineers view the emission results.

I'd like to give you an answer that is meaningful though the reality is until the CARB test is run and we see the emission results it's not possible to say what if any other parts will be required.

that makes sense but can you say if in case there's a replacement part needed will APS upgrade that for current users for free or at least at a discount when the time comes?

Can't wait. I know it may take a while but as I've mentioned on the other post...once you get the CARB #, consider one of these units sold...to me . This is the ONLY reason why I'm holding back at the moment. I'm going to install this on my Z which is my daily drive so I absolutely need a CARB # before I drop a penny in purchasing & installing this bad boy. Can't risk spending $$$$$ & have this not pass for whatever reason. I know others are more optimistic than I am but I personally want to play safe then be sorry later.
