Default What if you miss a shift with FI

Suppose you miss a shift with FI and bounce off the rev limiter? Is this disasterous for the engine? Is there a way to cut off all boost after say 6900 rpm and have a 7100 rpm so even if you hit the limiter you wont get a fuel cutoff situation under boost?

You should be OK if you're using a S/C because the bypass valve opens when you let off of the throttle. What are you using?

I am not fi yet. I hit the rev limiter enough that i need some way to not blow my engine if i hit the rev limiter. Usually i hit it in a bad shift scenario or in a sharp turn if i break traction and then the revs fly up and tach out.

Did it once and no big deal . . . I wouldn't recommend it very often though

i bang off my rev limiter repeatadly several times a day

during burnouts, 180s, donuts, and any time i floor it in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd... sometimes ill let it bang a couple times when racing so the tires can catch up before I shift so I dont fall out of the powerband in the next gear... but then again maybe thats why my track times suck for all the power im making!
