Default Phunk is the man I have proof.

Well I spent some time at Cj motorsports this weekend. I had Charles aka Phunk install my new ignition harness and map harness onto my greddy setup. I added those to my existing Greddy tt W/ FMIC Cj motorsport stage II fuel setup with walbro 255 lph pump Cj motorsports Fuel rails and lines and Fuel Pressure Regulator. All were installed by Charles and the gang and I must say the fuel setup is a work of art. Well now for the important part after a short time on the Dyno Charles had built and tuned a map for my emanage. We then set out to hit our goal and we did. Final numbers 411 WHP and 389 FT LBS of torque at 8.5 psi. Now for the kicker STOCK exhaust cats and internals. There is absolutely no other mods done to the car. So in my mind this proves once again Charlie and the Rest of the crew at CJ motorsports are the Sh*t. I will post the dyno in a bit when I get home or Charles can add it. Any questions let us know. Charles if there is anything u wanted to add let me know and thanks again.

Did you get one of his CAS wires installed? If not I'd still be careful, there have been folks here with full fuel systems and stock boost blowing motors.

Good to see you're getting nice power from your setup, now go get rid of those cats/exhaust!

the CAS wire thing is completely unproven, speculation at best. No need to scare the guy.

The CAS wire is proven, but it doesn't matter, it's only in some 350Z's and we have no idea which one's it is. (which is why it's easy to speculate that it isn't proven)

Very nice numbers!

If you say so! Proven that the stock one needs sheilding perhaps but not by any means proven that its the source of blown motors. Thats all Im sayin.

I was the test car on the osciliscope that had zero irratic crank signal. I'm not to worried about it but we plan on installing it on my next visit. Thanks for the kind words. 7000 miles on the greddy kit and no problems. So I'm hoping I got some strong internals

It's the wheels, I tell ya!

J/k. I didn't say it would blow without a CAS wire. It would just be a shame to run the risk for lack of a <$100 part.

Charles states in the installation instructions that it has not been proven, but it just added insurance.

Ask APS if it's proven.

I'm not sure if that's for the actual wire. The recall is only on 146 or so vehicles produced in 03. It sounds like this recall is an issue with the sensor itself. I could be wrong, though.

As stated the recall is for the sensor. The shielded crank sensor wire is to shield against the remote possibility of a stray signal (noise) getting to the ECU causing it to "burp". APS had seen it occur randomly on there R&D tested 350z ...If others have seen this noise occur it would be helpful if they would report it..
