How many people out there are Daily Drivers and have a GReddy TT installed on their Z or G? What other parts besides the ones in the kit do you recommend? What are some the problems you've had?
I am just asking b/c I want a TT kit but after reading the STICKY posts I have become scared that I need a lot more than I think. I don't know a whole lot about TT kits either but I am learning.
Also, for Engine Dress Up purposes has anyone every changed the colors on the GReddy kit to another color besides Blue? (Just Wondering)
FYI: I am only planning on running the GReddy TT on stock 5.6psi boost & I am only looking for around 325rwhp. Just enough to scare the **** out of the cars that car keep pace with a stock Z.
Thanks In Advance

If you want a safe daily driven TT system, buy the APS TT. It is more complete out of the box and will give you what you want, safely.
The greddy kit, as you have read, can be very dangerous if not built and tuned properly. APS takes the guess work out of it, as long as you can find a local unichip tuner.
Greddy can be great, can be reliable and will make great power ... it is just all of these "cans" that you have to deal with. APS simply put, is great, is reliable, and makes good power.
The price premium of this kit for a daily driven vehicle, in my opinion, is justified.
That said, I think both the APS and Turbonetics Single turbo kits are also a great option for you ... check the threads on them for more info.
My opinion,
Jim

If you only want to run the greddy on 5.6psi then I would recommend that instead of using the emange for tuning that you get the Technosquare greddy tt flash. I don't think I have heard any greddy tt guys that went this route have any engine damage. I would also recommend a BOV with this kit.
Althoug if you are only looking for 325whp, I would recommend you go with the turbonetics kit. From what I have seen this kit is making around 350-390whp. It will cost about $1000 less than the greddy tt, the install will cost less as well, and you won't have to pay for tuning because with this kit you send your ecu to get flashed for the tune.

Id go with the APS TT kit. It is a far better kit than the greddy and its more complete. Spend the extra $$$ to get the APS. U wont be dissapointed. If i could do it all over again i would have waited and got the APS. I cant honestly say that i feel "completely safe" with the greddy. just my .02

I second that motion... mine have 6 months, is a daily driver and it run at 8 psi of boost... just send the ECU to TS and have the Greddy Reflash!

btw Turbonetics kit runs at 8 - 8.5 out of the box, thats why is having more whp out of the box

I daily drive my Greddy TT Z. I have a few extras though. I have a FMIC, all the hot parts ceramic coated, Greddy RS BOV, Autosport wiring harness, and I have the CJM Fuel System. Its only been on a couple weeks, and no problems as of yet. I am making 345whp at stock boost. I am getting test pipes and a boost controller within the next couple weeks, and we will turn up the boost to make over 400whp. I feel pretty safe and confident in my set up. I also had CJ Motorsports do the install and tune. That makes me feel a lot safer! Good luck with whatever you choose to do!
I have the Greddy TT as my daily driver. Along with it I have the Type S bov, Greddy Profec e-01 boost controller, e-manage, shielded crank angle sensor, and a few other minor things. I feel pretty confident with it. But if you're looking for a kit that you just want to take out of the box, bolt it on, and leave it like that, then I would probably suggest the APS ST or the Turbonetics ST (no need for APS TT since you're not looking for that much power). The Greddy is a great kit, but IMHO it was made to be modified and produce BIG power down the road, and that is the reason why I bought it. If you are planning on doing some modifications and producing big power later on, then I suggest to get the Greddy kit, but otherwise a Single Turbo kit would probably be a better choice.

I work from home so no daily driver but I have put 12k miles on it in 10 months including 1800 last weekend going up to Zdayz and it works great, currently running at 8.5 psi and added a Type S BOV, J&S safeguard, walbro pump, e01 controller and tuned MAPS for 10 psi so I have to agree the Greddy requires more research and work than the APS to be at the same level but is more flexible.
If you have a whistle at slow speeds while you are slowing down you might want to check the BOV and tighten it a bit, it might be too lose and you might be losing boost during accel.

I use the Greddy TT on my car for a daily driver about 140 miles (round trip) commute every day (Temucula to OC). I have put 50K miles on it so far and it works great. I run the standard boost and have OEM cats with the Stillen exhaust. The key is getting a good shop to install the system.
I have had to replace the oil lines once, and one gasket. Otherwise no other maintenance.
When I got my car the Dyno was 352 rwhp.
