Default Vortech S/C engine cover trim

How did you trim the engine cover to fit the Vortech S/C..Thanks

Used a Dremel. I assume you have the install manual? The pic they show on the last page comes close, but you still have to trim back a little more to avoid cracking the cover on the SC mounting backet.

Put the cover on held down by the screws, put tape on the coner that need trimming and eyeball/mark with majic marker where you want to trim. It took me 2-3 times to get it right.

Well I used a knife to do it. It went really well and it was cut nice. Well I was almost finished and I slipped, stabbed myself in the leg, and got five stitches. Oh, and I dropped the cover at the same time and cracked it. I don't recommend doing it this way :P

I used a grinder with a cutoff wheels. Turned out REALLY clean!

maybe you can get an idea from this pic, it isn't the best though, i also used a dremel.
