O.K. I installed my Defi-D gauges while I am waiting for my T-netics kit to come in. (boost, e.g.t., a/f) None of them are functional right now obviously, I just wanted to get this out of the way so I can concentrate on the turbo install one it gets in. Well I have nothing planed today so I figured I would just hook up the a/f just to see it work. I read a thread on here that said to splice into the grey wire that comes off the o2 sensor. Well I did just that and I got nothing? I also read it sometimes takes a couple of minutes before it starts working.......well I waited ten, then I went around the block......still nothing. Now when I turn on the car the gauge does it little self check thing (needle pegs out and then returns to the starting position), so it it should work, right? Is there a certain gauge size wire I am suppose to use? The sensor wire that came with the gauge is only a couple of feet long so I had to add some to reach the engine compartment. I checked all my connections and am still dead in the water. I have an 2003 if that helps answer any questions.

 

im not sure what color the wire you tap is under the hood but at the ecu harness you have 2 choices (1 for either side sensor). u can use pin 16 which is a light green wire or pin 35 which is right below it and is a white and black wire. not counting the 5 larger plugs on the far left count over 9 wires and that should be the light green on top of the w/b one. either of those will work.

 

I guess I will just have to look for one of those. Unlees someone else chimes in and knows what color I am looking for under the hood. Thanks
