I will know tomorrow hopefully, my APS TT will be done with the xerd testpipes. I also am using a single output hks custom turbo muffler, so that will probably mute any raspiness.

Another APS with Helix TP. They sound fine as Zcool mentioned. My cat back is Nismo. I've figured out how to shoot flames with them, probably because Im running so fat. If you are in 4th rev to about 4k then let the engine slow to around 3k, clutch to downshift to 3rd then slip the clutch out slowly until it starts engaging then let it go. When the exhaust is hot it, out come the flames. this Mustang rolled up and was like "hey you go spark plugs in your exhaust." I said "no why". Mustang: Your shooting flames. That gurgle and pop I hear from downshifting is when the flames come out. If you just slow normally and then brake and put it in neutral no flames. Just some fyi for yal.

And yes Turbos mute test pipes and raspiness some what, not completely.

I just finished installing the APS TT and using the APS test pipes. So far from what I've tested (got to about 4k-4.5k rpms), no rasp at all, everything seems great.

Thats good to hear D. Is anyone else running APS test pipes with FI? I'm wondering if my Injen exhaust will have any rasp if I installed the APS test pipes.

Gringott mentioned that he is running Xerd test pipes with his TT and there is a little rasp and droning present at certain speeds. Is there any difference between the APS and the Xerd test pipes that will cause the raspiness associated with the Xerd pipes and not the APS pipes?

I forgot to mention, I am running the APS test pipes with the Injen true dual exhaust (straight-pipe version)....It sounds GORGEOUS. No rasp at all...video to come!

Can test pipes be used with the HKS Supercharger setup? I ask because I have an NA Z with Stillen test pipes and want to get the HKS kit.

I don't see why you wouldn't be able to....test pipes are just part of the exhaust system that replace your catalytic converters into basically a straight pipe.

I was under the impression that with a turbo any rasp you would have had with test pipes would be gone pretty much...and as I said, APS test pipes here...0 rasp.

Cat,

This issue about test pipes and s/c has been debated before. You will loose boost but make more power. Basically the s/c will be more efficient with test pipes.
