Say I bought a forged short block motor from a fellow member.
What would I be looking at to have that bad boy installed?
How much would I be able to get for my stock motor with 45K mile son it?
Please advise

Of course I'm not a forged motor guru, but since you got a motor before blowing up your original maybe you should keep it for when you get rid of the car.
I've seen some lower mileage stock longblocks going for around $2k, I'm guessing they go at that price since that's the typical core charge. I'd say $1600-$1700 for yours.
Install seems to vary quite a bit..
