I bet the settings on Greddy or any TT are sensitive with our engines. I better get mine in for a recheck. After I stopped I was worried. I didn't get on mine to much that whole day.

Fernando, Sorry to hear about this latest blow up. I sure would like to know what caused it.

You guys all know that I tell it like it is. No sugar coating here. Charles posted about his smoking turbos.....and others can share if they want to.
If someone has a private conversation with me, it would be wrong for me to divulge more details. That's all I can say.

Now do not start saying that z car garage is to blame because this is DEFINATELY not the case . They are a very reputable shop and this was just simply that the engine did not hold. I heard of another member who had the same thing happen to him while driving. So i believe its the greddy kit. Even at stock boost its not safe at all.

spazapilot had a TS reflash with PE380 injectors ... he blew his motor..but I forgot the details .. something to do with a boost controller .. not the system itself.

Rob is NOT a great tuner if he let a stock mapped greddy TT leave his shop AFTER one already blew up in that form on this exact car.

Not to beat a dead horse, but if you do not pull timing, you are asking for this to happen. I think it is obvious when you look at the number of blown engines that had Greedy TT's or Procharger SC's installed, compared to other types of kits.
I know other kits have had some blown engines, but not the kind of numbers the Greddy and Procharger have produced. I think timing is the most critical part of keeping your engine in one piece. Well, I guess I should say tuning is really the most important component to a safe FI system, this would cover a crappy baseline fuel map and the timing issue....
