Default Broken bolt / coolant leak???? trying to help a friend...

if you broke an INNER plenum bolt (one that holds down the metal plate in the center underneath the upper plenum) and didnt re-install it could it cause a coolant leak??? a local guy here bought a spacer and while it was off decided to put plugs in so he went as far as removing the entire intake manifold and said when he re-installed the lower half he broke a bolt that holds down the metal plate in the center underneath the upper plenum... anyways he said he saw coolant leaking down last night after driving awhile and called to ask me... i told him i wasnt sure but i could find out. if you ask me he should have replaced the broken bolt but oh well... anyone know the answer and i will relay the message to him. thanks in advance!

There are a couple coolant lines that go to the intake manifold. If those werent installed properly that could be the problem.
