Default Clutch recommendations?

Hey guys I am going to start my engine build-up next week and need suggestions on which clutch to get. Something that will fit my budget but still very good for my setup. I want the ATS twin disc, but thats way out of my budget. I was thinking of getting the JWT clutch and flywheel combo but needed your guy's input. click my sig for my mods. Thanks ahead.

From what I've read a lot of people recommend Clutch Masters for a cheaper clutch.

I'm still debating about the ATS Twin Disc as well because of the price, but as alternate choices I have two that I am considering alot. Both options are with the JWT flywheel and then the Clutchmasters Stage 3 or 4 or the RPS Max Series 6 puck.

The JWT flywheel was built to accomodate 350z clutches and 300zx tt clutches, so SGP racing sells a JWT flywheel and RPS Max Clutch combo for about 850 with the street disc or 900 with the 6 puck disc.

okay what would be better?

1. JWT clutch and flywheel combo
2. JWT flywheel / RPS clutch
3. Clutchmasters Stage 4 and flywheel
4. Others like ACT, Etc.

the answer is...it all depends upon how much hp/tq you plan on making. the jwt clutch can hold up to 550ftlb, i believe. if you plan on making more, you'll need a stronger clutch. do a search and edumacate yosef

rps max clutch w/ street disc is suppose to hold 590 ft-lbs and the rps max clutch w/ puck disc is suppose to hold about 700 ft-lbs or torque and still be drivable..

what about something in the 400whp range? clutchmaster seems to be a good choice, but would you pair it with the jwt flywheel? is the jwt flywheel significantly ligher than stock - ie, will the motor spin up/down more easily with this combo?

are there other combos that would be 'better'? this is for a 40% street, 60% track day car, soon to be aps single-turboed.

I think I'm going to go RPS, had two of them in the past and they worked great. I never saw that they made a 350z clutch, only 300zx.

Jwt Clutch and Flywheel work perfect. I wouldn't recommend anything else. No slippage, nothing justs clamps quick and no problems.

I must say RPS Pressure plate and CYnRG flywheel is the way to go. Street disc holds 550 ft lb tq. Flywheel weighs 18lbs with segmented replaceable shields.
