ah you mean single like an exit on only one side.

Only one I know of is JIC

I was referring to a single as in anything not true dual

going dual is just heavy and added piping which should restrict flow on the dividers

Please explain. I thought more volume could flow through two 2 1/2 pipes than one 3 inch. I have borla true dual on my 03 g35 coupe with the Greddy tt and I absolutely love the sound. Just as quiet as stock at part throttle but full throttle and 10psi of boost and it sounds mean.

The best exhaust is one that allows the exhaust "pulses" from the two cylinder banks to pull each other down some length of pipe before splitting back to separate pipes. The action of one pulse moving down the common pipe causes a vaccuum behind it that will suck the next pulse down. The GReddy EVO2, while called a True-dual exhaust is really a "double-Y" pipe that allows this function to occur. It's really the only reason to explain why they would do what they did..

Assuming you are going to use a twin turbo setup, I like the APS true dual exhuast, as its the only true dual 2 1/2 inch on the market, IIRC. The Greddy Evo2 is my second favorite. It uses roughly 2 1/4 inch piping, and is true dual except for a section at the end of the y-pipe. We use this on our car, and have no problem making mid 500whp power levels. They are also less expensive than and more readily avail that the APS exhuast.

+1.....too bad the APS doesn't have a more agressive look like the Greddy. The APS almost looks stock. I would like the 2.5 inch piping of the APS with the Greddy tips.

in reference to a Single Turbo setup. One stright three inch pipe would be better than a pipe with dividers to confuse the airflow.

True dual is better for a TT setup, I still wonder why there is not a dual 3" kit?

With 3 cylinders and about 1.75L worth of displacement on each side of our engine, 2.5 pipes will result in zero back pressure. Honestly, 3 inch would probably be overkill.

Tanabe makes a very high quality single exit exhaust: Tanabe Ultra Medallion. And it is very competitively priced.

What about a single 3" exhaust on a TT setup, would that flow enough?

Does anybody have any experience with the HKS Dual Hi-Power Ti Exhaust on a Twin Turbo? I love the way it looks and sounds, but I have not yet seen that exhaust on a Twin Turbo Z.

I am currently torn between APS exhaust, Greddy Evo II, and the HKS exhaust. I love the sound of the Greddy Evo 2, but I just don't like the looks of the two cans. The APS exhaust seems pretty nice, but I have not seen it on many Z's, nor have I been able to find out a lot of info, and as stated before, its hard to find it in stock. I love everything about the HKS exhaust, but I have not been able to find any TT owner with it, so I really don't know what kind of gains to expect from it.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
