Default Technosquare reflash of FI with stock internals

How many of you guys are revving to 7200 with any kind of forced induction with no changes to the engine? If you do, how have the motors been holding up to the boost+increased rpm?

I have the TS reflash and I usually shift around 6500-6800. I try not to get to 7000, but I have seen it go that high on occasion. I have not had any problems, so far. I do have the J&S Safeguard, just in case anything tries to act up.

Go here: www.jandssafeguard.com
It explains it much better than I can. Basically, it protects against detonation and I can map my timing, by retarding it as boost is increased.

also if you have the reflash before getting FI you should be able to tune around that range when installing the kit

Interesting topic. My tuner has just installed an APS TT kit with Nismo cams and and HKS F-Con for me. When trying to tune the F-con, he was having problems communicating with the ECU. We figured out that the problem was because my ECU had previously been reflashed by TS. They are getting it reflashed to stock specifications as we speak, but its interesting that TS somehow put a lockdown on the ECU.....probably so no one would steal their technology. Or I may just be way off here, and its a standard problem when reflashing???

that's kinda scary since I have the l-spec reflash and am about to get my APS kit installed (once it clears customs and makes it over here that is... )

Are there any APS people with technosquare reflashes on here?

Note that he does not have the engine management that comes with the APS TT kit (Unichip piggyback). He has the HKS F-Con V-Pro standalone.

It should not be that. The V-Pro completely takes over the ECU's functions to tell the engine what to do.

But it piggy backs the factory ECU

Correct.....the ECU is still in place for normal functions (power windows etc), but we have found that the ECU also helps to control idle. After reflashing the ECU back to stock yesterday, my tuner still had problems adjusting idle. So today TS will reflash the ECU again with idle information so my tuner can complete the job. What a pain! The TS reflash has somehow locked up adjusting certain parts of the ecu.
