Default Plug and play fuel injectors...question...

Are there any fuel injectors other than Power Enterprise that are plug and play and do not require harness modification??? My car is going lean at high rpm so I'm looking for alternatives to the PE510's.. thx..

RC's require new clips. Maybe throw APS an e-mail. They have a plug and play harness and injectors with their TT and ST kits. They may be able to put you in the direction of their supplier and sell you one of their plug and play harnesses.

PE is the only injector in the 400-500 range that will plug right in. However, the HKS injectors that phunk sells also use the stock plugs, but need to be modified to fit into the fuel rail (although he does this for you). they are 1000cc however. contact phunk (charles) for more info.

1000CC are impossible to control without a standalone.

ah yes... but with a standalone, they are great... i believe its about 2.3ms I have them responding to, no resister pack required (FCON)... back on stock cams and stock engine had stock RPM idle very smooth... smoother then a piggyback with 440+ cc injectors... and a clean stoich idle at that... gotta love them...

but yes agreed 1000cc is far over the heads of about 95% of most boosted 350z... so if your not running a FCON or a Motec, not really worth looking into these injectors.. plus they are super $$$

I am not quite ready to completely disagree with you on this yet, but I think they may be with the correct reflash. No one has really had them in L.A. yet so he could go to TS for a try. If I had them, I'd definitely try that route, if nothing else other than prove or disprove the idea of running them with the standard ECU (at least in combo with the MAF scaling and some fuel pressure tweaks).

You may be able to get the car to idle eventually but there are alot of other factors that have to be taken into consideration. The factory ECU just does not have the resolution to deal with the injectors at the lower end of the RPM scale. Even in the upper RPM scale it will run and provide proper fueling, but not very gracefully or efficiently. Also, accel pump and other misc issues will come up. Sure we could put the MAF in a larger housing but again we loose resolution. Injectors are meant to run at 43 psi. This is where the proper atomization occurs. Below this pressure there is a risk that the fuel will not atomize properly or completely. This can cause its own set of problems. Bascially you could eventually get it to work, but it will be a band-aid type solution that will not allow the motor to run smoothly and will most likely require constant tweaking.
