Got my car back...but something is wrong
I finally picked up my car yesterday. But I'm not excited about it. There are a few problems that came up.
1)For the first half an hour I stalled three times. My revs would drop to 500 as soon as the clutch pedal is depressed. If I hold the clutch in for more that 1 second, the car feels like it will die. I was driving in traffic going from 1-2-3 gear. I depress the clutch to downshift from 3rd to 2nd and the car just dies(clutch was depressed for about 2 seconds) When idleing, the car would got for 750 rpm to 600 or so and then shoot back up to 750. I asked a couple of people and they told me the ECU is getting use to the flywheel in addition to the Greddy kit. Is there anything I can do to stop my car from dying when I hold in the clutch? or will the ECU pick up in a little bit and I shouldn't worry?
2)I drove my car for a week with the new clutch & flywheel before the TT installation and I heard little to minimum flywheel chatter. But after the TT installation, the flywheel got noticably louder. Any thoughts?
3)The service engine soon light came on and off the whole time. Again, is this the ECU learning the new components of the Greddy kit? Will this go away?
4)I'm running on stock map with no tuning at all. A couple of people told me it will be best if I stayed out of boost. So now, I can't even enjoy the new found power.
Other than that, I'm pretty satisfied with the install and the AEM/BF gauges looks pretty cool. I did get into boost a couple of times. But I didn't hit the throttle enough to get 5.6 PSI.
Any help would be appreciated.
David

Sounds like one of the cylinders isn't firing properly. I assume that you have the e-Manage installed since you have the Greddy TT kit.
Does the engine feel rough when you drive it?
I would guess that there is a problem with the e-Manage wiring. If you had the code pulled from the SES light, it would likely say that a cylinder is misfiring..
Chris
PS- All of the talk about the ECU 'getting used' to various components is a bunch of crap. A Nissan factory built component isn't going to 'get used' to an aftermarket component (or anything besides what it's made for, for that matter)

Yes, I have the E-manage installed. The engine does feel rough when I drive it.
My installer did pull a misfiring code. But, the SES light never came on, only the "sevice engine soon" is on. But it will go away and come back on. Sometimes it just blinks. So it has to do with the emanage not wired correctly?

Would improper wiring of the E-manage cause the car to idle rough in addition to the drop in idle rpm? The car sound like it wants to stall and then going back to normal idle, it does this back and forth. I'm trying to see if it has to do with the lighten flywheel or just the improper installation of the E-manage.
My installer also mentioned that the ignition harness is probably causing the car to run like that? However, I don't think the ignition wire will cause the car to "act up" like this. Any thoughts?
