Default Turbonetics S/T Trap Speed???

Has anyone ran there Turbonetics S/T car at the track yet? If so what was the trap speed. I had a Vortech that I sold a few months ago and I only had a 109 - 110 trap speed. I was putting down 376 RWHP. I am wondering if I can get my car in the 113 -116 mph with this kit. Thanks for all the help.

Well i should see no problem with trapping in the 113-116 range. The turbonetics kit will probably produce very similar numbers as ur vortech, but it will also hit full boost a lot quicker. So instead of hitting 8psi at redline, you'll probably hit it at like 4k. Vortech and Procharged Z's seem to vary in trap speeds. Ive seen some Z's trapping 106 and some trapping 112-113. I dunno if its the driver or what, but the one guy who trapped 112.9, did it with an automatic tranny.

Turbonetics said over 100 kits have been sold. There must be a few people that went to the track.

Well due to the fact that they are street tires I can't launch very high...right around 2400rpms is about the most I can do and still maintain enough traction to get out of the hole. I have to shift again at around 5500rpms to maintain traction between first and second...but after that it's ***** to the wall and I am getting to the end of the run bumping up against 7000rpm range as I cross the 1320 mark in fourth gear.

Just ran my at the 1/4 trap is 112.7 ET is 12.8. Last time I went, I ran 12.8 at 109 mph. My 60' time was 2.0 to 2.1, wondering why my trap went up but my ET still the same maybe it's my shifting. I hate it when almost crossing the finished line...i'm in 4th gear and reaching the rev limiter. This is on 18' toyo tires.

This is really weired... all of the turbonetics 1/4 times on these forums are pretty low. Not to be bragging or anything but i noticed alot of N/A Z's running 12.8-13.1 on just simple blot ons. I ran a 12.8 on the street with all of my mods except the turbo kit and at the track i ran a 13.11 on T/A KD tires. Is it just the difference of drivers? or maybe every car is really different.

N/A Z's with simple bolt-ons like what exactly making high 12's into low 13's. Yeah man I def. think the "drivers" are the major difference, along with all the various other factors that play a roll when measuring any kinds of performance

12.8 Someone really had a good run that day with simple mods

If I could hook up and / or launch more aggressively there is no doubt in my mind I could shave another 2 to 3 tenths off at least. I will be testing this theory soon when I get a set of drag radials. All of my times so far are just the way I drive it every day...nothing special done at the track except drive up and launch. No tire pressure gauge checking my back tires, no smoky burn outs at the line (strret tires are pricey these days), just stage and launch....
