car & driver used Racelogic VBOX velocity sensor or a Datron Correvit optical-fifth-wheel sensor to time 0-60mph.we or i however, don't have that luxury.so the only solution i can think of is stop-watch.i heard about G-tech.anybody using it?what about the track? is there a device to record 0-60 there?
new G-tech is going to be about the best for the $$$ right now - I was running mid-5's (5.4XX the lowest) around 6mo ago before I sold mine, but that was before my rear-end swap
Stopwatch is very very inaccurate, sicne our speedometers lag behind true speed. The only half-way reliable method is to get a Gtech and follow VERY strict rules to get repeatable results. Namely, make sure your gtech is VERY VERY well calibrated (Mag value between .999 and 1.001 ot be very precise) and make sure you do it from rest everytime, not to mention taht it has to be a very straight and smooth piece f road. I ahve lately been told taht the latest gteh firmware does pitch correction, i that's the case, than it's even more accurate. Generally speaking, these units are more precise rather than accurate.
