Default wanting to go up to 7 - 7.5 psi with my Greddy kit, double check me!!!

Ok guys, i'm wanting to bump up the boost SAFELY!!!! I have the Greddy TT with the FMIC, e0-1, and test pipes, and esliper exhaust. I was planning on installing my CAS wire today, sending my ECU off the TS for the "greddy reflash", and i'm going to install a 255 pump. Do you think can do 7-7.5 PSI safely? I know there are threads on it, i have searched and i'm just trying to see if i have my self covered. thanks!!!

Yes, that is safe. There are an number of people with the pump and reflash running 8psi.

I have the same mods and will be sending my ECU to Technosquare next Wednesday (hopefully). They will set it for 9 psi.

but I will be adding the fuel return system next summer.

do you plan on running the full 9psi, well i see that you have rods and pistons.. you should be able to run more boost than that 9:1 with out detonation shouldn't you?

You know i'm kind of wondering the same thing, i've only had the car for about 48hrs so far. i got the chance to ride in the car at one pull of 7.5 psi before i bought it ( while the were tuning ) and the car felt WILD. 5.5psi and 7.5psi are BIG difference from the BUTT-O-METER

do you have the timing harness installed???? you MUST pull timing if you don't want your motor to blow apart...i would go with a fuel return system as well...it is not worth getting all you other stuff done to only enjoy your car for 2-3 weeks (believe me, i know from personal experience)

so...get the reflash, walbro 255....make sure you further retard timing, fuel system would help...CAS wire (the timing retard is more important IMO-but, good that you have it-better safe than sorry)

Well I got an automatic tranny so that doesn't help and someone I think it was MOTOP's tranny failed at about 400whp and he had a VB upgrade and a TQ.

I thought that the reflash was safe as is without pulling any more timing? Aren't there a few guys who don't even use the emanage, just use soley the reflash?

"appox how many HP will the GReddy TT pump out at 7psi? and 8psi?"

At 8psi I see 450 rwhp and 409 rwtq. I have the greddy TT kit and 440cc injectors, 255lph pump, Technosquare reflash (which is the only thing that pulls timing for me). I also have test pipes and the Greddy Evo II exhaust. Prior to these exhaust changes, I had RT high flow cats and the borla TD exhaust. My numbers then with 8 psi was 404 rwhp and 389 rwtq on the same dyno.

WOW those numbers are extremely impressive. My mods are the Greddy TT kit, test pipes, and esliper exhaust (true dual). How long have you been running this power for? no problems? I'll be honest i've been pretty dead at work today so i have been doing all the research i can about the Greddy TT kit. I'm almost scared to drive my car right now . So the reflash IS going to pull enough timing right? I will be identical to your set up yancy, i mean for the most part.

Does the basic Greddy reflash take test pipes and less restrictive exhaust into consideration?

I'm pretty sure Todd missed the TS reflash you said you were getting. That's all you need (other than a boost controller and you have that).

ccartwright, pretty sure it doesn't, you should mention that to Technosquare mazx6, it will need a different AFR and probably slightly different ignition timing.

I thought all they did was the TQ converter? I thought the other upgrades were "crap" (not upgraded or upgraded with bad parts) and that is why they are suing (essentially).
