Greddy TT with HKS Exhaust video and review
I would first like to start this thread by giving props to Sharif for providing me with EXCELLENT customer service! Sharif was very helpful and gave me great prices on the all the parts I ordered from him. His customer service is outstanding, and if you ever deal with him you will find that out for yourself. What surprised me the most about him is how quickly he got on my orders. Whenever I bought some stuff from Sharif, the shipping never took more than 3 days. I always tracked my orders and it was always shipped out on the same day as my order was placed, and the stuff always came within 2-3 days. I was surprised how fast the shipping was because I expected some slow shipping because it was free shipping. What really blew me away was when I ordered the HKS Hi-Power Ti Dual exhaust from Sharif. When we talked about the HKS exhaust I told him that I was in a hurry to get it. He didn’t have it in stock, but he went and talked to his distributors and called me later that afternoon and said he found one in stock. He told me that it would be shipped to me in one day, which I honestly thought would take little longer than that (Sorry for not fully believing in you Sharif ). I ordered the exhaust that afternoon and guess what was at my door the next day by noon? The HKS EXHAUST!!! I got the exhaust in LESS THAN 24 HOURS!!! I just want to say that it’s a pleasure dealing with Sharif, and I want to thank him for the great customer service he provides and for always making customer service his top priority. He is definantly on the top of my list to when it comes to buying mods from.
Now on to the review of the exhaust and to the video
Sound:
The car sounds very powerful. Below 3K rpm the exhaust is very quiet. You can’t really hear it below 3K rpm, but once you go above 3K rpm it sounds pretty aggressive. At 4K + rpm it just screams. It is really hard to describe how it sounds, so that’s why I have a video to let you guys hear it. One thing you have to remember is that the turbo quiets down the exhaust a lot, so it is not as loud as it would be in NA form, but it is still loud enough to let people know you mean business.
Gain:
My butt-o-meter feels a gain, but I haven’t dynoed the car yet, so I can’t confirm the exact numbers. On the HKS site it claims gains of 9hp and 12 tq on a NA application, so it should be higher on FI.
Quality:
The quality of the exhaust is top-notch. The entire exhaust is made out of 304 stainless steel, and it has Titanium tips which are 4.5” in diameter. The exhaust looks and feels very strong. It also weighs in at 56lbs, so its about 14lbs lighter than the stock exhaust. The exhaust is made out of 4 pieces in total. Two pipes with the mufflers, a Y-Pipe, and a mid pipe.
Looks:
The looks of the exhaust are something that a lot of people, including myself, drool over. I love how the entire exhaust looks and the way the titanium tips look on the car. The exhaust looks pretty aggressive, but yet its not overkill. The titanium tips on the exhaust are adjustable, they can be pulled out a little or pushed in a little to look a little subtle or aggressive. Here are some pics of the exhaust before I had it installed and while I had it up on the stands during the install:

Installation:
The install on the exhaust was very easy. Never even had to look at the instructions. The entire install took less than 40 minutes. It took about 10 minutes to take off the stock exhaust and then it took about 20-25 minutes to install the HKS exhaust (that includes the time it took me to take the pics from below the car and to get a drink ).
Video:
Here’s the video of the exhaust, hope you enjoy I didn’t have too much time, but I promised a couple people that I would post the video soon, so I just did a quick little video.
Note: the video does not do the exhaust enough justice. It sounds much better in person. The video was taken with my digital camera.

Too bad I am dropping the cash on the balance of my car, or I would have it on right now Paying off car is most important to me right now. You're car is hot. How about another vid with some burnouts and some high speed action!!! lol

I'll take a few pics like that tomorrow and I'll post them then. The exhaust is at about the same height as the stock exhaust.

The piping diameter is 60mm, which when you convert it is right about at 2.5". On the site about the exhaust it actually says that the exhaust was mainly created with a turbocharged engine in mind. A 2.5" dual exhaust is pretty much the ideal exhaust for a turboed engine IMO.

^^^I agree^^^
Based on the current selection of exhuast systems on the market, the HKS and the APS are the two best deisgns, IMHO, for twin turbo applications. Personally, I like the HKS better, since the APS is bit too "OEM'ish" for my tastes, in terms of look and location of muffler.
Jaki, I am glad your exhuast arrived in a timely manner, and looks like the installation was a snap. And most importantly, it looks are sounds unbelievable!! I am very envious now, since it makes my humble Greddu Evo2 exhaust look a bit dated...LOL.
Enjoy....and thanks again for the kind words.
