Default Turbonetics ST + AAM Spacer?

i've looked into Kinetix and Crawford for new plenums...

Kinetix is plast so
Crawford requires a new strutbar and a modified engine cover ... not really feeling that...

But I still think the design flaw should be fixed - I just ordered the ST kit and am wondering on how the AAM Spacer will hold up with the boost / benefits with FI. My next alternative would be the Kinetix SSV, but that won't happen for a while.

what do you guys think?

i have a great idea Peking... u already have a ST installed... mine won't be on for another two weeks - why don't you try one on right now hehe

how good is the air filter the ST comes with anyway? Should I use my Injen's filter? I also have an HKS filter laying around...

LOL, I would but the funds have to go elsewhere right now It is K&N filter, seems to work well... Hmm... I guess depending on the width of the opening of the filter it will work... Also it may be shorter (cause the K&N struck me as being a little longer), so it may not rub against the intercooler.

Well that bumper is the one that sticks out a good bit, so I would assume better for more air surronding the intake filter

I'd me more concerned with how the reflash handled the increased plenum volume. So far from what I've seen the stock plenum works great with the kit. Make sure to keep us posted on your results.

A plenum or spacer should get you some decent gains. As for tunability I believe Laww has a plenum spacer with the standard flash and it works just fine with it.

damn - you guys are right i've overlooked the reflash... hopefully the reflash won't have a problem with the plenum...

is the volume increased by a spacer same as the volume increased by a whole new plenum?

I'd be installing everything in one shot (more than likely) - so I wouldn't know the individual gains... maybe I should do the turbo first then the spacer.

i'll keep you guys posted...

would it be the A/F i should be looking after the most?
