I think jet-hot would look very similar...but no....this is a high temp textured barbecue paint that hides a lot of flaws and imperfections. Worked great.

from that one pic, i'd say it looks great! any more pics? love to see some more angles. did you just tape off the logo?

There are 7 pics in the album..you just have to log in. I painted the entire manifold and let it dry. Then went back over it with an air tool with a very fine flapper wheel. Polished the logo nicely.

I ran it through the dishwasher to get all the assembly and machining crap off. Worked great. The girlfriend wasn't too happy I washed it in her dishwasher though.

i wonder if u could grind off the aps logo...nothing against aps, i just think having huge-a$$ letters across the plenum like that is a bit lame

I'm thinking of doing the same thing. That or I'll just powdercoat the whole thing black so it'll be less noticeable. Again...nothing against APS. I just think it'll look really clean without it.

There is enough material to grind it down if you like. I took off about 1mm to polish the letters. The letters are about 3mm tall or 1/8"
