Default Who has 600+ rwhp and how did you get there?

Right now, I'm running the Greddy TT Kit at 8 psi, walbro pump, technosquare ecu, emanage to scale, test pipes, Greddy Evo II, and CM stage IV clutch and lightweight flywheel. Numbers on a dynopak are 450 rwhp and 409 rwtq. I've done my fair share of surprising a lot of cars with my Z.

A guy a hang out with has a built forged V8 SC Saleen that use to make around 475 rwhp with the stock SC at around 13 psi (Saleens are 2 valve motors - atleast his is anyway). I was 20 for 20 or so against him from all kinds of various starting positions, until he just added a 75 shot of n2o. In a short race less than a 1/4 mile he took me by about 2 cars on bottle. I can't have this so something needs to get done. By the way, he just ran an 11.56 on bottle yesterday.

To get back to the point, I'd like to hear from those of you that are close to or over the 600 rwhp mark. I know the engine must be forged built, and you'll likely need 650cc injectors or larger and upgraded 1/2 axles from Sharrif or the driveshaft shop, but what I'm not sure of is if porting and polishing of the heads and intake is needed, along with a cam to get over the 600 rwhp mark? Also, wouldn't a 9.0:1 or say 9.3:1 piston give you a better chance to see this number and build boost a little quicker compared to a 8.0:1 or 8.5:1 piston? Thanks guys.

Sharif will chime in here in a little bit I'm sure but from what it seems like, you will need at least cams to get above 530whp or so.. that's my understanding.

Steve,
Soon as your G is ready for dyno, no doubt you'll be in that 600rwhp club.

umm, i 'm running 550cc injectors..but very high duty cycle...650's may be your best bet if u want to sustain 600+wrhp

i am in cali right now..running 16psi on approx 97 octane (mixing 100 and 91)
my setup is in the "cardomain" link in my sig
you don't NEED headwork or cams to reach 600...it just makes it much easier at less boost..much more efficient as well...

dharp65,
A shop in Novi, MI does the work on my car. It's called Godspeed. Novi is a suburb of Detroit, which is not too far for me. The owner of Godspeed, Dan, is probably the best tuner in this area when it comes to Z's, STI's and EVO's. The shop is currently on Heslip Road off of 9 mile road, but they are moving into a larger facility in the near future.

Wow, that's crazy. Can you post a link? It would be interesting to see what it takes to get that power. I'm guessing, sleeves, forged pistons and rods, ported and polished heads and intake, cams, oversized valves and springs, head and main stud kit, return fuel system with possibly dual pumps, and about 25 psi or possibly even some n20?

Its making so much torque the ATS twin plate clutch cant hold so they are upgrading to the triple plate unit!

Great, I'll keep Godspeed in mind if I have any problems with my APS TT G35.
