You did read that, the customer also posted that it was his fault it happened. End of story..as G356gear said impressions from owners is what he is looking for...not flaming so pls dont take it personal...

LOL I'm in the same boat as Taurran! Would not install after market headers with this kit. Mine is a daily driver and without any problems. It's just like a stock car if you keep it under 3.5k rpm, but when you floor it....it will throw you back. I'm very happy with this kit.

 

Sorry if you posted this somewhere else, but what made you decide on selling the APS kit you already have and getting the TN? I'm NOT trying to stir anything up or start a huge debate, but I'm just curious. I think I'd get the TN too if I were buying a ST.

 

The APS ST would not work on my car because I do not have the lower tubular x-support to mount the debris shield to. I though about fabbing up a custom plate but my car is low enough already that I rub my cats. And there is no way I am running without a shield on my local roads. Kit quality was great and I have no complaints. I have not decided on buying another kit of any kind yet....just getting feedback on one of the last options.

Even tho I didnt install mine yet(its been sitting in the garage for the past 3 weeks waiting for the car to get out of the body shop). I think its a very COMPLETE kit for a very GOOD price. Basically its included everything from the blow off valve to the pre-wrapped AC line. Its even included a case of motor oil!

 

why do you guys that have installed with headers regret it?

Well the after market headers will have clearance issue and will rub, after market headers are thin and will prone to crack later down the line due to the heat, and also creates more lag.

 

+1. The vibration, heat, and lag are the main factors in this. Do yourself a favor and just remove any aftermarket headers during the install.

 

What's the most RWHP/torque you can squeeze out of this at a safe boost (8.5-9 psi)? And can it do this safely and reliably with stock internals? I really want to get the most power I can with this while maintaining good driveability.

Anyone have dyno figures they can offer up to those considering? I read a report in Turbo mag (I think) that said 369 rwhp. I was hoping for a little more than that .

My car made 390 at 9 PSI.,...Everyone makes between 360-380 at 8 PSI depending on mods.

 

I cant wait to see T66 or 67 upgrade for this kit.

 

Is it a direct replacement if it were to be upgraded to a T66?

 

I'm loving the kit so far. It looks great, it pulls HARD, and it is very cost-effective performance.

My car is running a bit rich, and because of my very open exhaust, I'm pushing 11 PSI of boost, but I think these two things are offsetting each other. My car pulled 370/370 on the dyno in 95 degree weather. Once it cools down out here, I imagine my numbers will go up. I'm also going to be installing an E-manage Ultimate and dyno tuning the car. I've said all along that I'm shooting for 400 WHP, and this kit will get me there.
