You never know, maybe something in the Emanage zapped the ECU... That seems to be the only thing you haven't replaced yet. Have any buddies w/ the same year/model z in the area ? heh

putting in the eu made the car run again but getting random misfire codes. i suppose some how the eblue could have sent a signal back to the ecu and hurt it. but it just seems to intermittant for something failed.
i am leaving it up to about 3-4 possiblities now, the stock ecu, the cas, or possibly the new eu. i wasn't getting an output signal from the eu on ch1. want to get a scope to verify though. yet the signal was going into the eu from the ecu. unfortunately the stock ecu can't be bench tested. new ecu is about $700, even jobber price, and i hate to borrow one if i do have a signal going back to the ecu messing it up. i have a line on a used one, but need to check part #.
this is very frustrating as the car has been down 3 months now with 3-4 weeks now just being devoted to fixing this problem. only driven the car about 40 miles so far. each drive ending with driving back to my shop because of misfire.
over,
Did you make sure that the airflow correction map is NOT selected or visible on your tree on the left side of the screen?
Call me later today, I was super busy over the weekend, wrapping up some tuning and a customer's car.

i will be recieving a bunch of shielded wire in the next couple days so i plan on doing the both cam and crank signal wires. just one more thing i can eliminate off my list i guess.
keep ideas coming if you can, need more stuff to test. sharif gave me a few ideas today, but mostly on driveability problems having to do with tuning. just need to cure this prob so i can tune, lol. thanks

ok picking up a pc based oscilliscope tomorrow. my last test had me pointing to the emanage not outputting a signal on ch1. but was strong from the ecu. will be able to determine strength of signal now with the scope. it is intermittant though so maybe a hammer will fix the bad connection, lol

scored on 80feet of military grade shieled 20gauge wire on ebay for $10 with shipping!! nobody around me would sell it for any less than $1.50 a foot and 1000ft roll minimum. so now going to do the crank and cam signal wires. got a set of ground wires to put on too. doubt this stuff will fix the prob, but will eliminate more possibilities. will finally have time to work on car again sunday.
What's this about? You found it caused a problem?

it actually is the airflow output map in the emanage map select parameters you don't want to select. instead use the airflow adjustment map. don't remember why right now, but the airflow output map is not compatible with the Z.
It doesn't misfire enough to feel at idle, but I haven't drove it around connected yet.
Basically, I watch my OBD scanner and keep clicking on refresh to see what code is pending. It is there most of the time, but every 5-10secs. maybe, it won't be there. However, as soon as I shut off the engine, then re-start, the check engine light comes on.
John@J&S has suggested a few things I need to try this weekend. Basically, run a new ground from the negative battery terminal and install some resistors to ground on the ECU output(EU input). Hopefully, that makes my stock ECU happy.
Thanks for the help.
