Pulley goes on wednesday. For those that have tuned after should i worry about the timing map or just the fuel. Im running the stock map right now and my wideband goes flatline rich over 6k. Im also running cdn. 94 octane all the time. TIA
Vortech's stock timing map...is ...-2 degree's at 5000rpm ....-4 5500rpm...-6 6000rpm...and -10 6500rpm . All of the maps Ive seen from good tuners , retard the timing via psi instead of rpm . It can be taken out more gradually . Find a good tuner...they will know how little of timing retard they can get away with and still be safe

If you looked at your B map . You will see 0 in all cells at 4500rpm or lower . And you'll see a 2 at 5000rpm across the whole boost range , left to right . Meaning no matter what boost level your at....at 5000rpm the SS box will pull 2 degrees of timing . If it was done by boost .Say 2 degrees at 5psi...no matter what rpm you are at , if you are at 5psi it will pull 2 degree's ...up and down . Hope it helps understand it

Well the problem is the SS box it self . Pulling timimg via boost allows you to do it more gradually . Every .5 psi.....Doing it via rpm ....you can only pull timing every 500rpms .Pulling timing out via boost results in a smoother power and trq. curve
