Default What breaks when boost goes up?

If a FI system is added as the max boost goes from stock to whatever the max is, (24PSI?) what breaks in the engine and needs to be upgraded?

I hear that at 8-9 PSI the stock engine can handle it but going to 15PSI then the piston rods start to bend.

If I build an engine and use better rods, pistons, and head bolts, what else needs to be tweaked? Valves? Cams? Springs?

Tx

The first thing that goes tends to be holes in your pockets. That is the only explaination I have for where all the money went.
