^^Very good points^^^

You may want to check your boost pressure...possible belt slippage?

He sent me the print out for the CPR dyno and you couldnt get a smoother A/F and it was no way lean . And I could see from that print out his belt was slipping up top . The boost leveled off the last few hundred rpm . His Zentronix file that he sent me showed the same A/F and the same leveling off of the boost at a little over 10psi . The second dyno and the print out shows a psi level of only 7psi . The A/F wasnt tuned at 7psi and 6500rpm so its off now . His only problem is a loose belt

Jason that's great news. Remember Matt (not pee-wee) told us that our belts would need to be retightened after a week or two??? Well we've both put about 700 miles on our cars since the install and tune and it looks like it's time to tighten those pulleys.

If you swing by my house this Friday I'll have enough experience from practicing on my car to tighten your pulley/belt for you. I'm going to do mine tomorrow after I get back from my grandma's funeral...

I definently dont think you need to get the car retuned I think the belt needs to be tightned and that should take care of the posible belt slipage.

The discrepency between the dyno graphs are that they are different dynos.

In the future if you ever need any technical advice you can call me, you have my cell phone number. Call any time.

Thanks,
Eric Oram

Eric and I have dynoed countless 350Z's on this dyno, and the numbers are very consistent. If anything, they might be a tad lower than a dyno jet number...which leads me to believe its belt slippage.

After the belt is tightened, let us know how your numbers look...and monitor the boost pressure. THANKS!

Thanks for all the replies. Maybe its just nerves as this is my first FI car and I keep reading my wideband thinking something is off. I will tighten my belt this week and pull a few more runs.

I will hold off on the re-tune until I fix the rpm read out on my zeitronix and get the belt re-tightened.

Thank you guys for the help in reading the data. everyday is a learning experience.

I'll report my numbers after I tighten the belt.....

Booger, Eric and Sharif...thanks for the reassurance. It makes me feel better that guys with your experience settled my nerves a bit.

There are numerous threads of phunk debating w/ peter and myself over the merits.

well said!
the two dynos are night and day, the dyno dynamics is an apple, and the dynojet is a decaying, worm infested orange...

can't compare...and the A/F descrepency sounds like what all the others added, belt slippage...or possibly an innacuuracy in the A/F of the dynojet...
CP Racing, Eric, and Sharif (I assume they both tuned the car) are very meticulous tuners...they would not give a customer their car back unless the tune was the best tune humanly possible...

my advice to you, car-in-question-owner...you should have brought up these concerns with the guys at CP Racing so they could have calmed your nerves and explained to you why the possible discrepency ...unfortunately, you scared yourself, got others to chime in (who didn't have all of the facts-or knowledge of a dyno dynamics dyno vs other inertia type dynos) and further inflame the scare

These guys know what they are doing, I was there this weekend and saw their setup and watched them tune G-Man's G35...very impressed with their knowledge and skills, I would trust these guys with my girlfriend (j/k-wouldn't go that far)

Ford Racing..Get er Done!!!

No...I comletely trust CP Racing and disregarded that dynojet number early on. I was logging my wideband numbers on the zeitronix and they were pushing 12.5 most of the time. While at peak torque, I was even at 13:1 a/f. While I was at CP, I was mainly below 12 after 4200rpm. I just couldn't understand the big discrepency. I'm sure they are right with the whole belt slippage but I had to chime in as I was not comfortable with my wideband readouts.
