I can't believe I want more!
The most powerfull car I've ever driven was an SRT-8 (425bhp), which is obviously a lot heavier and has pretty aggressive traction control. What's it like for you guys with TC off? If you overcook it in 3rd or 4th and start roasting, do you feel like you have a pretty good chance of going off the highway bass akwards?

The car is still pretty easy to control in 4th gear with 615 whp. The tires spin, but not uncontrollably. I would not even think about doing this in 4th gear around a curve though. Straight line only!!
i'm pretty paranoid about flooring it when there is even a slight grade in the road....straight line it gets squirly...on turns, you would lose control..unless you are anticipating the wheel spin-like in a drift through a corner...awww i miss my car...it'll be back soon (getting the exhaust done-and the shop is super busy and taking a long time to get to it)
this is why I get kinda annoyed when a lot of people tell my I should go TT when I say that road courses are my primary concern. Seems like your driving would be on a knife edge between making the corner and going off course
The MoTeC M600 is around $5k, I believe. That includes everything needed for the 350Z.
I would get this if you are wanting something for better traction.

I want better traction plus a standalone. I am not feeling to comfortable with a piggy back. My a/f decided to just change from my day to the next. I want to dissable the ECU from doing chit on it's own.

The MoTeC should work with any TCS, i'll check my previous emails with the developer though.

I read the Motec thread, but didn't understand if it is plug and play or if it had to be wired in. The orginal poster said it was plug and play, but then said it took a day to get it installed.

According to the email, this is what is included:
M600 MoTec ecu
M600 MoTec variable camshaft upgrade
Sensors include water/air temperature and manifold pressure
Patch plug from std loom to std Nissan ecu via MoTec ecu
Auxiliary sub loom for air/water and map sensors
N/A start up file to suit std fuel injector std fuel pressure and 98 ron premium unleaded fuel.
This system can be fitted in a very short period of time and remove just as easily. You will need to weld in I fitting for the extra water temp sensor and we include the fitting and directions of where this needs to be positioned

Yes we have a plug in loom adaptor for the 350z for the MoTec M600 we believe our Aussie cars and yours are the same.

On the race logic..
The US dealer is in Portland.. They are called matrix integrated. (I bought mine there and had it installed by them.) It is about 800 bucks to get your hands on one... Install is pretty straight forward... just make sure it is installed last in the line of your mods... because otherwise the EU, UniChip etc will mod the fuel signal, and you may burn lean.
Once it is all hooked up, it is a pretty cool deal.. I FLOOR it around 90 degree corners in 2nd, by the time I exit the corner and start heading straight I've got some boost behind me, and I take off like a rocket. I don't even have to think about it... The RL keeps my back end under me.

Thanks. I won't be around the shop too much, maybe some special events though (like a dyno day for the 350Z/G35 or something).

You would be making close to 750whp at that boost level.
