Default exhaust done...what do u guys think about this?

first off...don't have any videos or pictures as of yet..SORRY!
i'll post pics very soon...

here's the deal:
first off, please, can somebody give me some feedback with what is going on with my e-manage ultimate and how it is iterpreting the signal from my innovate lc-1/xd-1!!??
i punched in the following:
7.35-22.39 and even tried
9.00-20.01

neither one of these was even close!!!..the a/f on the gauge would say one thing and the datalogger on the ultimate was like 4+ points off.

i played around with it for awhile and could change the numbers but can't figure out how to get the numbers and SCALE accurate..please help!?!?!?

second of all...
i bravely tested out my new high flowing 3" exhaust with my current tune, expecting it to go lean and me need to let off the accelerator...but, as i inched the rpms higher and higher, the a/F stays at an ideal 11.2:1
so, i havent ventured past 6000rpm yet, cause i want to get the innovate gauge/ultimate relationship fixed...but it seems as though the exhaust has not changed my tune...how can this be?

THANKS

Doesnt the EMU have target A/F that keeps it where you set it ?

that target A/F is basedoff of the analog signal trhat it gets frim a A/F gauge!!!...so, if the gauge is reading off (like mine is), that function would cause motor to go bye-bye

Which one looks to be displaying the correct values? I would check the settings for the LC-1 using the LM Programmer software to make sure it is setup for gasoline, otherwise your readings could be off a bit. I had issues with this setting changing after I had hooked up a laptop to do some datalogging and I had not changed that setting.

i know the conversion for the aem gauge is 10-20. it works in perfect unison on mine now. i thought you got it figured out in a post before? here i found this for ya.

I've just installed the LM1 with the Gen 7 and here's what I have found. The Gen 7 UEGO input uses 0-5V but is not linear. The output of the LM1 uses 0-5V and can only be linear. You will need a UEGO with a programable non-linear output to be fully compatible with the Gen 7.

Here is how the output of the LM1 matches the input of the Gen 7. The output of the LM1 can be shifted up and down to better match the ECM input. Here's what I have done. Here is what the LM1 outputs vs what the DFI will read.

LM1 DFI
10.0 10.65
10.5 11.02
11.0 11.35
11.25 11.5
11.5 11.7
11.75 11.9
12.0 12.05
12.5 12.5
13.0 13.0
13.5 13.5
14.0 14.1
14.5 14.5
14.7 14.7
15.0 15.2
15.25 15.7
15.5 16.3
15.75 16.8
16.0 17.6
16.5 17.6
17.0 off scale

You can see that the curves are very close in the centre. The DFIs input curve pulls away sharply over 15.0. The DFI curve also pulls away moderately above 12.0.

On the DFI wiring harness, the Pink/Blue is the UEGO positive signal, Black/White is UEGO signal ground. The Pink and Black are for the HEGO heater and leave them disconnected.

For the LM1 output, set 1V=9.0AFR and 5V=16.6AFR, 4V=14.67.

Hopefully a future update for the LM1 will add the ability to output a non-linear voltage curve.

Here is the input voltage vs air/fuel required by the Gen 7 for those who are interested.

1.0 10.08
1.5 10.63
2.0 11.29
2.5 12.04
3.0 12.78
3.5 13.64
4.0 14.67
4.5 16.82
5.0 19.18

these were directly off of the innovate forum. looks like the 10-20 should also work for you with the lambda setting. just input your own values. good luck.

thanks, i'll try entering 10-17

i'm not too familiar how the e-01 sets up for this, but the eu set up for the input channel is- pick what you are inputting to it (ie. a/f meter) then it has a list of presets to choose from. right after that is 2 windows to set min and max values. you can click on those and input your own values.
reading your post again for the 0-5 volts=put 10 for the first "blah" and 17 for the second "blah", hahahahha. hope that helps.
if it works you can repay me by figuring out why my car will drop a cylinder or 2 for no apparent reason, lol.

Todd, nice talking with you today on the phone. Your Borla exhust was not as restrictive as some of the ones others are using...like the Greddy Evo2. So you might not get a major change in AF ratio. Your AF ratio is going to vary a little bit between run to run. I would confirm everything on the dyno, and see how your power and AF ratio compare to the previous tune. Let me know how it goes.

i changed something, then returned it to factory settings and now my af gauge doiesnt register..pls help!!!!

now, you are saying throw in 10-17 on the emanage ultimate setup..ok, but what should the innovate lc-1 be set as? lambda or afr (it somes set lambda and it worked fine)

the preset lambda setting on the eu is like 8.3-22.4 or close to that. the scale is close to the 10-17 but would differ more towards the ends of the spectrum.
now i am basing this off of my aem gauge, and my conversion for it is 10-20. looking at what the innovate gauge outputs, it looks like 10-17 is the scale you want. all it is, is a ratio scaling for min and max values for the emanage to interpret. unfortunately the tables above are for a different management system than the emange, but it might be a place to start.

ok looking again at your post, i'm guessing you just have a choice between lambda or afr setting? try the afr setting and see if windows pop up to input your own values.

ok i thought you were using the e blue and e-01 from previous posts. set the input for a/f gauge, chose lambda (or anything it really doesn't matter) then input the values in the 2 min and max windows after. just click on them and input your own.

i chose lambda first with the aem and was still a little off. once i figured out you can input your own values i got it perfectly with 10min-20max. looking at the above chart, input 10 for min and 17 for max.

i have done this, along with another hundred 2 number combinations...
not getting it dialed in...
thx anyway
