I live in Kansas City very close to ATI, I know for sure that they never said the AXIS car has 500 at the wheels. There is lots of mods to the kit that need to be done in order to have 500rwhp

I am not talking about the yellow Z that is Chen's personal car. I am talking about their race car with a built motor, cage, stripped interior etc. When I spoke directly with ATI they said that Axis was at 500hp.

It is true that axis has a 500whp Z. We recently dynoed mine in at 488whp. With a good tune on the Utec we should be at 500whp...

Default procharger

hey ok.. i'm a girl ok, and i have a procharger in my 350z, ((ex-bf put it in)) but it's been about a year, i've changed the superchager oil, changed the belts, done all the right maintenance and for some reason my car is squealing!!! the mechanics said it's cause the supercharger is throwing my "harmonic balance off" and the pullies are griding for some reason i feel like he's trying to rip me off, when the car is warm then it doesn't squel, but if i have the ac on when i start the car it's almost a definate that it will, but if i shut it off then turn on the car, it'll be ok.... but if anyone else has heard about this problem or know something let me know PM, cause i'm really lost... thank ahead of time

your belts are loose.. it happens to me a lot in the winter time.. just have someone tighten them...not the supercharger belts, I'm talking about the power steering, alternator/AC.. drive type belts..

Get her tuned yet ? I did some more testing today...Im stuck at 13 to 13.4psi from 6000rpm to 6800rpm . Bigger IC and pipe got me to 13psi a littler sooner and cooler intake temps , But no more boost when the belt starts to slip . May try the smaller pulley to get it even sooner and call it a day , till Vortech comes up with a all cog belt set up
Most of the work has been done and Shariff has done some tuning as well. We put a huge intercooler on the front, unfortunantly we did loose 3-4psi in the process but the intake temps are very cool. The 50/50 mix of water/methanol makes the intake charge even more dense. At this point Shariff is pushing the boundaries of tuning because the combination of injection and the big intercooler has allowed virtually zero, zip detonation . I think he has gotten about 450 at the wheels so far and we'll see how much further things can be pushed. I'm using the meth/water to tune with, not just as a safty backup considering we are only getting 12psi of boost. We are going to hook the nitrous back up and either use a 50 or 75 wet shot. With 8.5:1 compression pistons I don't think it should be a major problem especially with the meth/water injection.

For those of you who have considered using injection there are huge benefits. Drastically cooler intake temps, octain boosting effects and cooling due to methanol. And water quenches detonation better than just about anything but the combo of meth/water at a 50/50 ration seems to work best.

You can lean out the mixture slightly and the injection systems light goes off if there is any kind of blockage or flow problems. I'm using the progressive boost controller with www.coolingmist.com and it does everything they claim it to do.

WOW..Im suprised you lost that much psi . But after thinking about it , I think I understand why . You will end up with a very safe set up , with very good power !!!!!

I'll take some pics when I get it back with the front bumper off, man this intercooler is huge! It's bigger than the greddy unit. All that air volume get compressed and harder to push but the positive aspect is that the intake temps are cooler than say with a smaller fmic. It will be tuned to 550-575 at the wheels with nos and we'll call it good. I was hoping for 500rwhp but 450 apprears to be all I can get with the 12psi of boost I have to work with. The huge fmic and all that volume plus the low compression pistons make allot of work for the blower. With a smaller intercooler and a little higher compression ration 500 would be achievable I believe, but I don't think I'm going to end up seeing it without nos, which of course I love so it all ok

I got my car back awhile ago with 500whp.. But we keep breaking belts. The car is set at 14psi but peaks at 15.5. Does anyone know where to get stronger belts or a new setup

CPRacing & Sharif have witnessed first hand that the procharger (brokecharger) actually flexes forward during high rpm's with the big 44 tooth cog drive pulley. Someone needs to find a way to brace the blower bracket to the engine because they said they could literally feel the blower moving forward. The aluminum bracket works fine at low boost but flexes and moves when spun much faster. ATI obviously underengineered the the aluminm bracket because it simply is not strong enough. I'm sure someone will figure something out

Big Belt PowerGrip GT2
8808mgt30 1464MC $37.65 (large belt)
5608mgt30 $27.67 (small one)

This is the only way to go for belts, no won't find them less expensive anywhere else. But cheap belts is not the solution, we have to find a way to keep it from flexing under high load.
